In the USA they have 12500 infected and 50 deads in the Slaughterhouses.
Here they guess that it could be that air conditioners spread the virus too. (If many people are in the same room.)
But you know, i guess this work is sweaty and drops of sweat fly around and on the other side it's difficult to keep distance at this work.
Meanwhile they start to put Plexiglass between the single working stations.

Semi-short version:
I was in the hospital for 8.5 days. My friend came over to check on me late last Tuesday. She's a paramedic. I wanted her to listen to my lungs because basically my whole body hurt and it felt like no matter how deep a breath i tried to take, it wasn't happening. I started coughing little bits of blood because my throat was raw from coughing so much. She took my temp and it was 104.2F (40.111C) and said my lungs sounded diminished. Pulse ox read 82. She also asked if I was drunk (i wasn't) because I was acting confused. She demanded I go to the hospital. She didn't want me to drive and she didn't want me in her car. So lucky me.. I got a free ride in an ambulance.
Fast forward... I spent 3.5 days in the ICU due to COVID related pneumonia. They were also worried about my fever because I explained it was going up for awhile. My confusion was due to hypoxemia. I was on a full O2 face mask. I had X-rays, CTs, ABG's etc. All the fun stuff. The doc explained to me the night I was admitted that my pulse ox was nearly at the point where they start to consider putting people on ventilators, especially the way my lungs sounded. Thankfully, my ABG levels improved and pulse ox increased to 90 after 36hrs.
So for the last few days I've been recovering. It'll be awhile until I'm 100%.
I'll be back zooking all of your asses soon.

But how it feels now?
With oxygen saturation only at 90% you are far away from as it should be.
Good, we have you back.
I really counted with the Worst Case Scenario when you did not respond at the 6.5.
...
Btw. There was a total chaos on the server those days..., ok, ... not really, but good you are back!

I still hurt, but nowhere near as bad as before. It feels like someone was just beating on my lungs. I bruised a lung years ago, feels worse than that. Someone compared it to a constant asthma attack. I think that's a pretty good comparison. Doesn't feel like regular pneumonia, which I've had quite a few times.
My pulse ox is now 93. It was 90 36hrs after I was admitted.

Are you taking medications?
SORRY to hear your fight, was a full blown heavyweight bout.
GLAD YOU ARE KICKING ITS ASS!!!!!!
Welcome back and smile at your adversary. You done good!!!
We have added another medal to your chest.
Are you taking medications?
I was just given fluids, acetaminophen, and something else (don't remember, but unrelated to covid). They also gave me nebulized albuterol.
The doc said if I had less severe symptoms they could've tried a combo that's part of a trial.
Right now I'm just on acetaminophen, cough medication, and albuterol if I need it.
sun, how you feel, any side effects, hope you doing well sun, god be with ya!
Hope you all will be fine, my coronaviral friends.

I still have a bad cough, sore throat, and my lungs hurt but I don't feel like my lungs are dying anymore. Extremely exhausted. The whole body pain is nearly gone. I don't have a pounding headache and my eyes don't hurt. Last week my eyes felt like there was a ton of pressure pushing them.

Omg, hang in there sun, you're gonna be fine, i believe in you that you can beat this disease and you'll be good to go, the thing is why americans aren't afraid of this virus, they sometimes like to show their balls of steel.... i don't insult them, just thinking that way..
Get better sun, just think that you have no pain or virus in ya, watch comedy and listen to calm music then, physically it will go away...i know it's strange, but....

Keep social distance people!
Wednesday morning I had a checkup with my doctor. Just listened to my lungs, checked my pulse ox, typical stuff. She also did a test. Yesterday I got the results back and I'm still positive -.- . My lungs sound shitty, but my pulse ox is holding steady at 94. She wants it to be at least 95. Very slight fever at 99F, but think it's unrelated to covid. Next week I go in for a bunch of tests. Bloodwork, including the lame ABG, X-ray, CT, and something else, but i forgot.
They also have a behavioral health specialist/therapist call everyone who was admitted for covid to check in on them. Weird, but I understand.
Throat still hurts really bad due to cough. So I've been enjoying the occasional milkshake ^.^
Sunshine, It's great that you are being well looked after (even if you still feel pretty crappy atm). You'll be ok in the long run. Can I ask you a question though? Do you have any idea how you came to get Covid, ie, was it close contact with someone who had it, (maybe asymptomatic) through work/socialising or some other way and you, like a lot of others, just don't know how. I don't mean to pry, I'm just curious. Wishing you all the best. :-)

No idea. Since the stay-at-home order on April 1st, i haven't really gone out except for necessities or picking up some takeout. Just shit like that. I've been working from home for weeks, well before I got sick so it wasn't from there. None of the people I've socialized with got sick. As soon as I started feeling sick, I didn't see anyone.

Yes, It's a strange thing. An ex colleague of mine (& we both had advanced warning of what was possibly about to happen back in late Feb) who is immunocompromised took every precaution under the sun, way before any lockdown/stay at home order was issued here and still contracted it. He went nowhere, had no contact with anyone, yet still ended up in the ICU @ hospital. He is feeling much like you are atm, but has been told he is a very lucky chap. Hope you've been feeling better.
Wishing you all the strength to get better fast. I am shocked......it is still kicking you!
I have some good Broken Shed sitting here with an olive for your recovery. Its a tasty vodka.
WITH a smile! We call it healing vodka. (sure works on the mind!)

So yesterday while at work .. (im head cook in our irish pub) we have had some ppl in training to be security guards right .. so the day before some poor guy died over night about 70km away from my town, he was feeling sick for a while, his partner is feeling sick too. they were tested and came up positive to covid. One of the women in our training course was in direct with these ppl but still chose to come to our pub for the training
when we found out (she talking during training to someone and they told us) we had to kick them all out, disinfect the whole place, shut the pub and wait for her to get test results back..
Why, ffs do people think its ok to go into a public place after being in contact with covid and not openly tell someone before they enter the damn building
Everything has turned out ok as they were false positive on the dead guy and everyone involved but my point in why
go to a fecking pub while waiting for results ???
we lost business because of this and if the ppl we had to turn away talk to other ppl we could feel the effect for days.
Mind you we had epic lock in party organized if we had to quarantine ourselves in the pub hahahahah

We had between the last 2 days new 15 cases in the entire country with 8 mio. people.
But 1 of them was a scholar in the next village of my place.
Since some time we are on the way back to normality.
