More cool stuff coming up. Stay tuned.
Here's some clips of some animated sky textures I made, soon to be featured in some new maps in the next Raised Fist update

Third-person view with crosshair will be available in RF v0.62. Here is a pic:
The third-person view can be toggled on and off via a script, which I bound to a key. It's not perfect, especially when going into buildings. Unfortunately, due to a limit in the code, the third-person view is disabled every time a player dies, and must be reset after spawning.
Works online 100%.
We are also working on new soldier uniforms. These aren't done yet and are still a work in progress. Here are some pics of the uniforms (skins by Reegad):

Hello all, here is a little update on the mod, courtesy of ziba128. This underground bunker model will be used in a map called rf_frostbite. The model is almost finished now.
The texturing and lightmapping of the model was done by ziba128, the mesh itself was made by reegad but was left untextured. Ziba also added some nice lamps on the ceiling of the bunker, these are really neat and add a nice cinematic atmosphere inside the bunker. My hats off to him for making this bunker come alive and making it look so good. Thanks ziba!
Here is a short walkthrough video made by ziba128 that shows what the inside of the bunker looks like:

Yes the textures are really phenomenal. We just need to add a couple of railguns and nailguns here and there and we have FEAR.
The finished product.
The current progress of rf_frostbite. Most static objects have been placed (this includes the underground bunker), the heightmap is mostly done.
I have to ask permission to use these railway crossing signals in a public map as they are from FH. Hopefully the FH devs let me use them .
A sneak peek of the underground bunker
Jim2102 also made a new version of rf_pitch_black, this new version includes some pretty nice weather effects:

New map: RF_Immersed. Fight in a dome underwater with 4 different environments and many areas to explore, and also enjoy the scenery! You are also safe from COVID-19, as it can't enter the dome at the bottom of the ocean
Great work Jim. The fish meshes are really high quality. We should test this map out soon.
Nice artwork, Jim. The 4th picture is really great, gives a real under water illusion.

Awesome atmosphere!
A preliminary version of rf_frosbite is now finished, here are some pics:
The map is far from finished but I would like to host an event on it soon, possibly. The skybox isn't finished and there are a few things I'd like to improve here and there, but here it is.
For anyone that would like to test the map out, I will provide the download link in this post. I have made a special Infiltration game mode where the Allied side has to retrieve a briefcase from a location on the map and bring it to the extraction point, marked by a red X. The Allied side has 15 minutes to find the briefcase and bring it to the extraction point. The Axis side has to defend the briefcase and make sure it does not reach the extraction point.
Installation is simple, simply unzip the file to anywhere you like. The raised_fist and rf_infiltration folders must be placed together in your Mods folder, located by default @ C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods for Windows XP and up users. The rf_infiltration mod must be selected to activate the special game mode (Mods > rf_infiltration).
The map and the special game mode have not been tested online yet. If anyone wants to test the map out I can provide the server files for it. Please test the map and report any bugs here. Thanks.
Note: the map has a lot of assets from the Secret Weapons expansion, so SW fans are going to like it. Also, please be advised that the download link to the map might change shortly as I am waiting for the Immersed map from Jim2102.

Many thanks to ziba128, Jim2102, takiwa and reegad for helping me work on the map either by developping the map itself or helping create new models for it.

More info about the new release here: https://www.moddb.com/mods/raised-fist-v062
Hello Mamba,
Pardon my noobishness, what's the name of the map? I installed the folders, now I have the default maps + Kasserine, Barbarossa and Truk..?
The name of the map is rf_frostbite. You have to activate the rf_infiltration mod first (Custom Games menu after you start BF1942). Once it's activated, go to Multiplayer > Create Game, and select rf_frostbite (Infiltration mode). Should work. Let me know if you run into some issues.

Ok thanks, Mambolito, I had looked only at singleplayer maps.
Right-click zooming is de-activated? If that is a feature, then nice
Thanks. Yeah zooming is removed except for sniper rifles. Maybe an event for this would be cool? Idk.

@seventy: are you able to find the briefcase kit inside the bunker and bring it to the extraction point, as an Allied soldier?

No, I haven't, I searched for a few minutes
Would be nice if doors could be opened like in Doom
Is that even possible?

Yes it can be done, easily. I thought about having doors too. Thanks for the suggestion. We can play online now if you want, I have a server with the mod on.
EDIT: Oh, no, that door can't be opened unless the mesh is edited which would require the work of a modeler (not me). I thought you meant the doors in the bunker.
Here is an event for the mod: http://team-simple.org/forum/viewtopic. … 03#p154303

Latest version of the mod here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/kklaq2fiw … l.zip/file.
Brief changelog:
- Ported the Console Unlocker into rf_frostbite and rf_frostbite_dem maps. Instructions about how to use it coming soon. This version should be used for the event on April 4th, not the Alpha.
- rf_frostbite_dem map made for an alternative ''Demolition'' game mode, in which the Allied team has to destroy a power generator in a bunker protected by the Axis team
- Ported EliteKnife handweapon from XPack2
- Ported the Sten handweapon from XPack2
- Ported SmokeGrenade handweapon from Desert Combat v0.7
- GermanEliteSoldier helmet skin changed to a white helmet
- Made a CTF conversion of rf_frostbite
- New map: rf_immersed, made by Jim2102
Complete changelog coming soon.
As promised, here is a guide on how the Console Unlocker works. As some people might have thought previously, the Console Unlocker is not a hack, or cheat program. All the commands that are included in it are legitimate. There are no cheats commands included, as the vast majority of commands in Console Unlocker are already included in your game settings.
The exception to this is the third-person camera view, but this view is also used in other mods, such as DC. The only difference with my version is it has a crosshair. No other mod in BF1942 that I know has a third-person view with a crosshair.
The Console Unlocker is built in the mod, and as such does not allow clients to modify their own files to run cheats. It is currently included in the RF v0.62 Beta Final for the rf_frostbite map exclusively. Using this collection of console commands gives the player the advantage of changing game settings on the fly, without having to press Esc, change a setting individually in your Options menu, and return to the game to see what has changed.
Console Unlocker User's Guide
To activate the Console Unlocker, press your Numpad0 key. A siren sound will play and the "console_unlocker_1.1" yellow message will appear on your screen.
Once the Console Unlocker is activated, you have two different menus to choose from to customize your game settings.
Pressing Numpad2 will activate the main menu and show a "main_menu" yellow message on your screen.
Pressing Numpad3 will activate the secondary menu and show a "second_menu" yellow message on your screen.
While in the main and secondary menus, pressing Numpad9 returns the player to the main console unlocker menu (not "main_menu"), and plays the siren sound while displaying "console_unlocker_1.1".
In the main menu (Numpad2 key to activate), pressing the Numpad1 key will activate the fov (field of view) menu ("fov_menu" in a yellow message). Allows the player to change his or her fov angle, but also to disable their gun view.
In the fov menu, press Numpads 1 to 7 to change your options. Numpad9 to return to the main console unlocker menu.
Pressing Numpad2 will activate the minimap menu ("minimap_menu" in yellow).
In the minimap menu, press Numpads 1 to 4 to change your minimap options. Numpad9 to return to the main console unlocker menu.
Pressing Numpad3 will activate the mipmap menu (which defines texture quality, from low to high), which appears as "mipmap_menu" in a yellow message.
In the mipmap menu, press Numpads 1 to 4 to change your mipmap options. Numpad9 to return to the main console unlocker menu.
Pressing Numpad4 will activate the netgraph menu (ping graphs which only work in online games) and show a "netgraph_menu" yellow message.
In the netgraph menu, press Numpads 1 and 2 to enable or disable the netgraph. Numpad9 to return to the main console unlocker menu.
Pressing Numpad5 will activate the restart menu, a menu which allows the player to disconnect or restart their game. Displays a yellow "restart_menu" message on the screen.
In the restart menu, press Numpad 1 to disconnect from the current game and Numpad2 to restart your BF1942.exe. Numpad9 to return to the main console unlocker menu.
Pressing Numpad6 will activate the hud menu, a menu which allows the player to disable/enable their hud, show their fps in a numerical or graphical format and change the color and size of their crosshair. Displays a yellow "hud_menu" message on the screen.
In the hud menu, press Numpads 1 to 8 to change your hud options. Includes options to change crosshair size and color and enable or disable FPS. Numpad9 to return to the main console unlocker menu.
In the secondary menu (Numpad3 key to activate), pressing the Numpad1 key will activate the chat menu, and display a "chat_menu" yellow message.
The chat menu allows you to change the size of the chat, the kill messages and gives a player the option to disable the chat completely.
In the chat menu, press Numpads 1 to 7 to change your options. Numpad9 to return to the main console unlocker menu.
Pressing Numpad2 will activate the lightmaps menu ("lightmaps_menu" with a yellow message). Gives the player the option to turn object lightmaps on or off.
In the lightmaps menu, press Numpad1 to activate object lightmaps, and Numpad2 to deactivate them. Numpad9 to return to the main console unlocker menu.
Pressing Numpad3 will activate the soldier camera menu ("soldier_cam_menu" with a yellow message). Gives the player the option to play in first or third person. The third person mode has a crosshair.
In the soldier camera menu, press Numpad1 to activate the first-person camera and Numpad2 to activate the third-person camera. Numpad9 to return to the main console unlocker menu.
