Getting next map from server

Would it be possible to probe the BFSM daemon or BF1942 dedicated server daemon, or by any other means get the value of the next map ?

The purpose for this is to display it on e.g. a website.

I'm an experienced Linux user,  but not much with BF1942 dedicated server daemon / BFSM daemon.

So any code examples would be very helpful.

Thank you in advance.

Re: Getting next map from server

The only way I can think of, right now, is to check maplist.con file for game.setCurrentLevel line. That is actually how BFSM gets the next map to send as a server message after !nextmap is typed in server chat.

A BF1942 server reply to a GameSpy  query on default port 23000 only shows current map among other things (player scores, kills, deaths, ping, etc.), but BF1942 server could be modified to add the next map field also.
