Bud, there is something to that wealth inequality stuff. But one thing is that those rich people are paying a majority of the taxes. I also doubt they're just keeping bags of cash in their closet. They're investing in businesses and stuff. One thing that is important to note is people's ability to rise, like I mean go from poor to middle class. We were really poor when I was very young. By poor I mean living in a small trailer and getting much of our food from a distribution center. But we made it to middle class. My dad being in the army for 20 years helped, but his pension doesn't exactly keep my parents feeling comfortable all the time, especially when equipment on the farm breaks down. But compared to how it was when I was really young... night and day. Being a comfy middle class family isn't common where I'm from. I'm hoping if I ever have little sunshines they will never have to experience poverty.

There is nothing wrong with working and earn money, climb the social ladder but there must be some incentive. As it is now, honest working isnt enough, everything is made in china and its impossible to compete with thoose prices. Its the rich guys that moves the fabrication there (Apple is just one example), they even start too look at Africa now as the new "making stuff cheap" country.

I grew up on fish, meat was for sundays only. Listening to my older siblings im spoiled as fuck, as i didnt have to use old newspapers as toilet paper. wink

edit: cred to your dad for taking care of his family.

Re: USA presidential

People are idiots and just feel comfortable living off of government welfare benefits. They see no incentive. Not even just basic pride or the feeling of EARNING something. I completely understand that there are people who NEED government help, but sooo many just dont want to work and are completely fine living off of taxpayers. I found it embarrassing when people saw us use ebt cards and shit. When we inherited the farm things were even harder until government gave us grants and stuff. So I'm very grateful for the help, but those lazy asses who just don't want to work... fuck them.

The welfare system here is meant to help out when "the shit hits the fan" not to live on forever. But as it is now its being mis-used to such extent that its redicoulus. Make your wife (or wifes as it stands now) a baby factory and they sprinkle you with money. Ten years or more on welfare is not uncommon nowadays.

...

After all, if i look back to the last year, i have to say: "Well done, Mr. next president!"

I never expected that he has a chance.

It began with the farce of the election of the democratic candidat and ended with allways the same trash Hillary was talkin in the debates. Like this we can say, all worked for trump at the end.

Now... Mr. President. Show them, that you can make it better.

Re: USA presidential

It definitely says something when counties and entire states that almost always vote Democrat decide to vote Republican.

Honestly, I'm just glad it's done.

The real winner here is the American people. Why? No more polling/political phone calls! YAY!

That's basically due to California. Sure, the popular vote is higher because of them, but this isnt mob rule. We have representatives that participate in electoral college and they vote however the state soes and this way requires distribution of popular support. California gets the most electoral votes of any state by far. They are definitely not a representation of the entire country at all. Much of the country would not be pleased if California determined every election. Middle America is TIRED of being mocked and ignored! Plus who knows how many illegals voted there lol.

My home stats of Michigan actually voted for a Republican President. Crazy!

No one believed Trump would win that many states (in media and political world). I know i didn't. I even read Republican and even Trumps polling showed they didn't have a chance. They all said it would be really difficult or even impossible. Hillary and Democrats said they'd get 70% of women vote. More than HALF of white women didn't vote for her. Polling showed she'd win but they didn't realize there was a large silent group of population who raised their middle finger to her and the media. They are tired of being ignored and left behind!

If we look back to the past 30 years... perhaps it's the best to choose an unusual, new way.

The europeans have nothing against stopping TTIP and her sisters. And america needs also to take a deep breath. Renewing the Infrastructur could be the first step and it would generate many jobs and the money would stay inside the country.

Re: USA presidential

Either you could be the most controversial president in US history, otherwise you could become the (probably) most hated president.

I watched a program with 2 danish comedians visiting the US and discussing political diffrences, as you do here.. (of course) In the US election it seems to be all about who can get the most amount of money, in Denmark we have 9 diffrent political parties (7 on the Faroe Islands and 5 on Greenland) and they get 8,25 DKK for every person that voted for them by the government. It's not about what the states vote, it's about what the people vote, this electoral college thing makes no sense to me in that regard. - I don't think there would be a president though if non of the states would have wanted that person in charge.

The parties form alliances, Blue (which is right) and Red (which is left) and from there those alliances pick who they would like to become the Prime Minister candidate.

It seems like most of your population doesn't seem to care about voting anyway, only some 48% voter attendence, meanwhile in Denmark it was 85% last year. They also talked with some people about how we have free edumacation in DK (including college and university) but at the cost of 50% taxes, which seemed to turn people off even though they got excited at first. Religion is a lesser thing in terms of politics in DK, meanwhile in the US it actually seems to be quite a big thing.

They doesnt exactly make it easy for people to vote if i understand it right. here is a crappy google translation.

Those who want to vote in the election must have a fixed address.

Those who wish to vote must register well in advance.

Those who wish to vote must locate a polling station and they are few, queues are taking several hours.

Those who wish to vote must devote several hours a weekday, because the choice is not based at a weekend when most are available.

Those who wish to vote must have time and can afford to forgo half a day's labor.

Those who wish to vote must have an employer who provides a free to exercise their democratic right to elect the president.

The prisoners may not vote at all. It affects petty criminals, drug dealers and rapists, as well as political prisoners Chelsea Manning.

The PK-media (Political Correct) has gone ape-shit crazy all over the place here today. Its totally surrealistic, some crying, some talking about shooting trump, some want to kill all white men. Someone called me discusting only because i am member in a certain discussion group, even tho i never rooted for him (trump). hillarious times.

Now when all the roaring is done with, i think we will see more of a pussycat-ish diplomat situation. Its not like "the old world" would just lie down and die if there was no America. Infact it could be nice for once not have all the us soldiers wanking around in every possible country, maybe you could extend that wall around the whole usa while your at it and leave the rest of the world in peace?
