Hook, is it common for burial ceremony (or funeral) to carry body exposed to everybody on streets? And who are people carrying, are they family members? I apologize if you found this questions inappropriate, I just wander because funerals are different here in Croatia.

Ukraine is a mess, which suits both sides - makes it easier to control. I do not think that stronger sanctions will be applied because EU-Rus trading ties are big and both would lose and in the end Ukraine will pay the price.

One another side will definitely profit from this west-Russia conflict - its China. It is said in media Putin is turning now even more to China (trading).

#8 Re: Off-Topic » Ukraine demonstrations » 2014-03-20 12:06:41

Crimea is Russia now and there is nothing that can change this, but it will be interesting to see what will now happen in eastern Ukraine where lot of Russians live and are not satisfied with current establishment in Kiev. By the way, when do they plan to make elections in Ukraine so they can have democratically elected government?

#16 Re: Off-Topic » Ukraine demonstrations » 2014-03-04 14:02:38

Krim is gone, ukraine army present there surrendered and it seems that Krim will get full autonomy under Russia protection. At the same time, un-legit government in Kiev does not even follow understanding signed days before with EU. Something big is rolling behind all of this...

#17 Re: Off-Topic » Ukraine demonstrations » 2014-03-03 12:01:31

I do not think that there will be war, Russia is now finally showing muscles to west and saying - no more playing in my backyard. Syria is quite another story, but with some similarities (destabilize country and set national/religious and other flame and wait).

#18 Re: Off-Topic » Ukraine demonstrations » 2014-02-28 11:43:18

things are getting more serious - airport Simferopolu in Krim was taken by armed men this night. they say to media that they are here to defend in case if western "nacist radicals" decide to come in Krim. So, there is un-legit government in Ukraine and happening in Krim peninsula and Russia and west offering help to Ukraine. Something is not ok here, wander whats behind all of this, soon we will know.

Wheelchair PR stunt, lol

Interesting days are ahead for Ukraine, so many interests collide in country of 42 mil ppl, divided between Russia and west bearing in mind that Ukraine economy is heavily dependent on gas from Russia for its industry, while west offers MMF and small EU help (i read that EU offers 1 billion Euro, while Russia offers 15 billion USD immediate help).

world is changing fast definitely, question is in which direction - we all will have long and quality lives with technology/science support; or only those 1% will have everything and beyond, and rest of us will fight/fuck/get sick/die before 60 (like in Elysium movie)

#24 Re: Off-Topic » Ukraine demonstrations » 2014-02-21 12:06:39

Its common process that west uses to eliminate head of state that does not comply to their request, scenario almost the same everywhere (Syria) - if they can not buy government, make chaos and destabilize country (Ukraine now) and if that doesn't work (Syria) they can always use military option and send occupying forces (Lybia partly only air support, but Iraq before that).

Even now EU/US says it will bring sanctions to Ukraine if they do not stop violence, heavily ignoring that part of "protesters" are armed and killing both police and civilians to provoke more violent protests.

Like nameles said -only two possible ways - end this violent protests by all means necessary, or comply with EU/US (step down and put pro-west government at head of state). The longer janukovich waits, more ppl will die.

#25 Re: Off-Topic » Ukraine demonstrations » 2014-02-20 14:12:18

good question, because small part of protesters are using deadly force (also using fire arms), this reminds me of something similar (but not the same) already seen in Syria (foreign "freedom" fighters liberating Syria).

Still, I do not understand reason for such violent protests, something bigger is behind this, west/Rus interests collides in Ukraine...

To all friends in Bosnia and Herzegovina - do not give up and strive!!!
Bosnia is typical example how western power can artificially divide and fuck up country (Dayton agreement) and today you see result - over 40% un-employment rate, young people totally discouraged, nothing to lose, while their "democratically elected government" (actually they have several levels of government management thanks to Dayton agreement) owns expensive villas/cars etc.

geys are minority, why so much fuss about it? it makes me lough how some ppl are terrified that geys will lead to human extinction lol. And about children adoption, beside there are some many hetero-dysfunctional families, its not problem with two mother or dads its problem that majority of ppl will make it very difficult for those kids in school/society because they will teach their children it is evil and they will make fun with that kid because he has 2 dads.

Hmm, like joint said, nothing beautiful awaits Ukraine in EU. On the other side, what awaits them in Russian federation? Keeping in mind that EU has a lot of problems and Russia is economy in rising. So, I do not see why would it be better to go EU and be low salary worker for some timmos there in western EU who anyway thinks that we "eastern" and "south" european ppl are lazy and criminals.
