(((Western))) countries do the same thing. (((They))) own the media and over-proportionate amounts of powerful positions throughout the countries and then use that to their ability, to promote who they want, such as fag marriage, legalizing fag adopotions, criminalizing whiteness, etc, etc..

I don't support these arseholes from the opposition. It's a kind of manipulation like they said if you don't vote, you support the opposition protest and boycott the elections. The election turnout was about 67% but it doesn't mean 33% didn't vote due to boycott. Of course, we have those who really boycott elections but their percentage is about 3%, maybe 5%.

Not everyone is going to vote. Voter turnout in russia is ~70% (PresidentElection)

In Swiss it's about 40-50% only. Everywhere people are tired to think about political things.

Beside. In swiss the people can't select the president, which is only the president of the entire Bundesrat, (Council) and also not the candidates of the Bundesrat, (which are 7).

They are elected by the Nationalrat, 200, Politician, (people's representatives), and this is a good thing. Those people know the candidates since 1 or 2 LegislaturPeriodes, (LP = 4 years) and they choose people who are able and for consensus. (Beside there's the Ständerat (Kantons representatives, 46 members).

In my opinion, it's a good thing, but i also respect other countries system, doesn't matter where. Putin made a, let's say, good job. On one side the beginning was not easy and meanwhile he has the support of many peoples.

So it's their choice.
