The server was changed to a new datacenter in Los Angeles, and as result it had to change IP address. From now on, always join the SiMPLE | BF1942 [USA] server from the new IP address. Update your in-game servers list.
Address: 69.85.86.35 64.250.127.168 Port: 14567
The new server should be a lot more stable from the tests made and it has enough bandwidth to increase player slot numbers.
199.195.142.124:14567 is still up?
Yes, 199.195.142.124 is forwarding the traffic to 69.85.86.35. You should connect directly to the new server.
I get a lower ping if I connect to 199.195.142.124, though. It has a better route to my ISP.
=o How can I see my ping route? Can I also determine my ping route? Like, decide where I want it to go?
The new server is a bit laggy, it looks as if it's skipping some frames at times. : All benchmarks were great, and I believed it was smooth playing there. Now, there are 2 alternatives and I ask you test them yourselves, also. First one is a server in San Jose:
IP: 209.141.63.140 port: 14567. It seems good so far.
The 2nd is in Los Angeles:
IP: 184.22.68.249 port: 14567. It's not yet running, but in a few hours it will be.
You need to manually connect to them. Run BF1942, click MULTIPLAY > INTERNET > ADD SERVER and then enter IP address and click JOIN.
Please, tell me what you think is the best choice.
Both ran smooth for me with 60 to 80 ping.
The only thing was when I bailed out of a plane once on the 184 server is I only saw 2 frames. Once in the air & then on the ground. I tried to replicate it, but had nice frame rate when I did. It could have just been my computer as opposed to the server.
My only suggestion is to move the server to the middle of the U.S. That way everybodies ping is more equal. I hear Dallas has some nice servers
I haven't tested it out yet but I am pretty sure which ever runs more smoothly I will prefer.
A Texan server? =o My ping will be lower opposed to 90 and it does benefits everyone's ping in Canada and USA but I don't care that much. Also, having a server on the west coast is a good idea because a part of the regs from SiMPLE are from New Zealand and Australia. A west coast server is pretty much the only server they can get the lowest possible ping of all bf1942 servers. And their ping is around 150 lol.
Exactly. Australia, New Zealand and Asia players. There are good BF1942 servers in USA, but none in the west coast,.
I'm gonna forward the traffic to the server IP address 184.22.68.249. It seems the better choice, I hope I'm not wrong again.
What is going on wit the server? Last night, Browzar and Strutter were having 90,100 plus pings when they live near Los Angeles. They should have close to 10 pings. I am little confused wit all the IPs lol.
Also, my commands are not working.

I did this -----> IP: 184.22.68.249 port: 14567. You need to manually connect to them. Run BF1942, click MULTIPLAY > INTERNET > ADD SERVER and then enter IP address and click JOIN.
Works for me. Brought my ping down to normal.
-Strutter73-
Your ping is higher because of the redirection: Your computer --> 199.195.142.124 --> 184.22.68.249. Strangely the redirection increases 84 ms your ping.
You should connect directly to the server IP address: Your computer --> 184.22.68.249.
Update your in-game servers list. The new server IP address is there.
worked like a charm. ping is at 10. Thx
X=X=X=X=X=X=X=X, the move to a new server is to have more bandwidth to increase the players slots. I don't know when, because can't find a good and stable server.
Bad news, the new server is more laggy than the previous one. Played some minutes ago in Berlin map and it was lagging bad. :
So, I'm going to set up the San Jose server (209.141.63.140). Sorry for all the changes and confusion.
tuia, it has been pretty decent. However, it did crash or something a couple hours ago. By "crash" I mean everyone got disconnected at the same time or nearly the same time.
The server did not crash. When did that happen? Precise time, please.
I'm not sure on the precise time, there were only like 8 people in there or so. I believe it was around 1AM CST time. Maybe it was just a coincidence. But when I refreshed the update thing on battlefield, the ping showed 9999 for awhile. Maybe it was my connection that is faulty.
I can't tell, probably your connection.
The server crashes do happen some times. It's BF1942 server code that is buggy and was not written with efficiency and security in mind.
Looks like people didn’t take the transfer very well, the USA server seems dead now most of the time. But it is running smooth with no lag or crashes that I've seen. I hope everyone comes back to play on it.
