moongamers has 1 upper level pilot that plays named twilight. The two smurfs that are pretty good that go on there both ended up facing my girl.

Yep, Ivo is a very good dogfighter, but i dont know if he plays BF at all anymore. Also Bender, Vale or Sundae could try this callenge.

But I don't believe any of them will be online at 5 pm CET.

thats because you really dont know the euro elite yet. All the players that "girl" has faced until now are very good pilots but arent elite pilots. Very good all around players, Timmos is much better at tanks, Sleven as Inf, but very good all around. Then there are the elite, Ivo, Vale, Lighty, Bender, Sundaae, even Dary and a couple more. But its hard to get in touch with them now.

Ok. I know shit about flying so I shouldn´t be talking. But from my experience of playing on american servers for years I´ve seen great pilots such as good as euros but I never seen that another level. But like I said i know nothing about flying

Americans have had some of the best pilots in the past and imo my girl is still the best pilot. We both agreed that the average good pilot was better in europe though compared to the u.s.

Only other top level pilot I can think of that is active on us server is twilight and he isn't really a dogfighter. I know you had to of faced him if you played on moongamers lecter.

I played alot on moongamers and i´ve seen Twilight flying. Though I still think Corey was better. But like I said im lousy flying and im sure DF is much different than flying normally on a pub server

Merc was great though he had ping of 9...dunno if it really helps on DF

Definitely a good pub player, smart player. Best pub pilot in last years though has got to be twilight. Dem bombs too sexy. 9 ping in a plane is definitely not like 9 ping on the ground. Man I would love single digits while going medic or sniper lol

Actually I would probably hate it because then thats the excuse everyone will use against you when you kill them.

Actually when u have ping 7 for example as infantry, it sucks, ur aim gotta be all the time on the player, even if he moves
And it gets even better if u dogfight with 1 digit ping, u really dont have to bother shooting ahead

That is wrong Denny... you still have to aimahead with a good ping a lot in a plane with a good ping.

The network of BF42 sucks, that is why you have to shoot ahead. Only on a lanparty (i think) or singleplayer you dont have to shot much ahead.

Ping is always an issue but it doesn't matter that much if you know exactly how much in front you have to aim in order to hit.
The players who already took the challenge are not used to play with such pings so they already started with a disadvantage.
If they would have played on an US server for some weeks and then took the challenge I'm convinced they would do better.

Yes. If you play Single Player, you dont have to aim a lot in front. It means with a ping of 7 it should be the same, but it isnt. Ping of 1 is only 0,001 seconds delay. It is just a network problem and EA didnt want to solve it, that is why you have to aim so much ahead. But i find it is better to aim so much ahead, because it is more challenging and it would be too easy otherwise.

Eveybody has to aim ahead more or less. My ping is 17 and not really much more than 7 and still i have to aim in front a lot. Of course it is an advantage, but the real problem is packet lost. You can have a ping of 17 and still have a lot of bug hits because of packet lost, like me on the FG Stalin server.

If your ping is stable it makes it much easier to learn how much you have to aim ahead. The eyes of wonder infs had a ping of 50 and they beat everyone. So you can still own with a ping of 50.

Pretty much, infantry like lecter or jazzy who are more used to u.s. ping can do well with it. If a good infantry player just tried to play on ghetto berlin they would probably get extremely frustrated. Aside from views sticking, having a higher ping while flying isn't as much of an issue as it is with infantry. Plus you would need to be positioned behind my girl and firing for the ping to matter

As said before if vale and ivo don't want to play just because of the ping issue but still want the challenge, my girl will play on a euro server.

Most computer components have latencies.

Ping, lag and latency is virtually the same, could be explained as: Time delay from an action is ordered, until it is executed.

Latencies in PC components can more or less be translated into ping.

For example a standard PC mouse has a latency of about 8 miliseconds, which in most cases equals +8 to ping

Mice have "ping"
Keyboards have "ping"
Gpus/cpus have "ping"
Ram have "ping"
PC monitors have "ping"

So even with ping 0 or singleplayer mode, you have a "ping" that's greater than zero.

Gaming/fast pc components can reduce latencies significantly, meaning a slow pc has higher component "ping" than a fast PC.

Example of slow pc components:

vs. fast/gaming

100 milliseconds in contrast to 30. Roughly comparable to a 70 ping reduction.
