Strange, what BF1942 client version are you using? v1.612? Can you post a screenshot? Maybe you are using a filter in the in-game browser.

Agree. s[sk] has made his BF1942 Linux server v1.612 files, which are a clear improvement over BF1942 Windows server v1.612, and you have a good dedicated Linux box in a datacenter available, it's a win-win decision. If what keeps you from changing to Linux, is not being confortable with command line, you can learn it. You are young and you can easily grasp the Linux basics, it's not that hard.

Now, my partner and me are willing to start a massive undertaking: revive the dead North American competitive scene and make it rise from it's ashes. This project is part of another bigger project of creating a mega BF1942 community complete with official forums as well as official servers, and many other essential files, such as mods, tutorials, workarounds, videos, media and useful programs. Kind of like an "unofficial official Battlefield 1942 community", because it is not supported by EA/Dice in any way. But anyway I am not here to promote this community, it is not the right place to do it, all I want is for people to grasp the central idea of my thread: reviving the dead NA competitive scene.
If you want to have a North American BF1942 competition, you'll need a well designed website, suitable for competition, with matches, tables, players database, forums, etc.. A good example is http://www.esl.eu/ but it's a bit utopic to reach that status. It's not an easy undertaking, you'll need some talented programmers and designers to build you the website.

As for bugs, he uses them all as I said. Prone and shoot bug, sand bag crouch and prone bug, wall hugging, and excessive crouching and proning while moving from cover to cover. Anything that can reduce the surface of his hitbox, he uses.
So then, is it a crime to bug? Why is it seen as something which has to be prohibited like a "true" PB hack? Why such unjust treatment for an element of the game which has been present since the beginning and that couldn't be removed by beta testers (and still to this day it cannot be removed, as it is hard coded in the BF1942.exe).

I didn't know lachesis had fans. He seems a good player from the videos he made, I never seen him playing but some other players know him. I'm aware he played for GUN clan and came from Secret Weapons Demo scene.

I can't tell what happened from the chat logs between you and Timmos. Searching the game event logs would be a pain and probably would reach no conclusion. I can't decide who is telling the truth, sorry. Admins don't judge on a personal issue, at least, they shouldn't.

I've finally finished hacking a BF1942 client v1.61 to be able to connect to all BF1942 servers v1.612. This means, with this client executable you'll be able to play in all v1.612 servers without running Origin or having to sign for an Origin account. EA won't be glad about this. 
Best of all, you'll be able to use the widescreen fix.

That's good news. So any server can be changed to accept any BF1942 client version (1.6, 1.61, 1.612), as long as it doesn't check for version and checksum.

Added some minor changes to Omaha, which may improve and balance the map. Allies have an extra spawn point which can be used as a strategy to attack the flags.
