If you buy a Samsung 850 Evo Starter Kit you have a USB3 to SATA Adapter inside. Also easy cloning software.

It cost a bit more then without this Adapter, but you have to buy this StarterKit only once and use it for all future SSD's. I prefere Samsung because it's really "easy to use" included Software. (The DataMigrationSoftware is allways included but it works only for Samsung SSD's.)
Also good is the Samsung Magician Software for first run after the change from a magnetic harddisk. You have some switches to optimize Operating system for the use with an SSD. After the first start and configuration you should take out Magician Software from Startup List. Only OS below Windows 7 needs it to "Trim" the SSD from time to time. I don't know how this is on Linux.
(If you make a new installation then all settings are done from itself, but not when you change to an SSD with a existing operation System).
Btw. The StarterKit only make sense if you upgrade Laptops to SSD. For PC's you anyway connect the SSD for the CloningProcess on a SATA Connector.

If your SSD is bounded on Sata 2 and has only 240Mps it doesn't matter. This 240Mbps or more you see only when you copy large files. In daily use the 4k/4k 64 Access/read/write is the most important thing what makes PC's and Laptops fast.
(And if you have newest PC and you copy 1 very big file from SSD to an normal Harddisk, you have also only the max speed from your normal Harddisk.)
But, ... if you buy a Laptop, ... buy a good one and add the own bought Samsung SSD yourself or buy the Laptop with SSD, but this variant cost mostly more for a less good SSD. (Samsung SSD have the tool inside which you need, also a USB3 Adapter.)
Beside, ... a yourself bought SSD has 5 years garantie the built in 2, but i anyway never heard of defect SSD.

Buy allways the newest generation Chipset/CPU's. They use less power and are faster then older generations

BTW: my T410 came with a 320 GB WD pre-installed in it, I bought the SSD and swapped it myself 
although there were no freebie tools inside, like USB3 whatever...

Currently I have a T410 Thinkpad (1st Gen i5 M560 @ 2.67GHz ,4GB RAM, Sam 750 Evo 120 GB SSD @240MBPS 
, 1440x900 Reso)( Refurbished

But its So darn heavy ! It has that extra big battery butt too, makes it even more heavier..
So guys, please help me pick a comparatively new and light laptop model. Hopefully a Thinkpad.

In-game menu resolution was hardcoded to 800x600 in 4:3 aspect ratio as it was more common when BF1942 was released in 2002.
AFAIK you can stretch it to fit in desktop monitor's aspect ratio, but I don't know how to do it on laptops.
