I was taught to hit the ground running, get into the action and that is what i generally do .. sometimes it isn't the best way cos i end up dying lots (or crashing my jeep   )  but score doesn't mean much to me if i have helped my team win the game 
Score is a bonus if I'm having a great game
I play on a lot of servers with really high ping so most the time i don't get a great score lol but I am having fun and when i do kill Dink i get to do the happy dance hehe
