There was a small spike in players, BUT THEN within the year 80% of those players never touched the game again. Why? Well let's start off with the fact that the games ping and bullet registration is fu cking awful, People are obsessed with graphics now, new comers don't want to learn how to compensate regs and they'd rather play on CS if they want a game to learn. I have said this before and I'll say it again. You can't revive a dead body that's been dead since 2009. It will never happen no matter how much you advertise, I had a group of friends who tried playing bf42 a year ago in May, and to my expectations they said what I expected. After all the time they were playing newer games, playing bf42 for them was on a nostalgic trip but not enjoyable.
