Whats really beyond is the fact that a PNH player doesn't know the rules when you play there 24/7?

Go to aX if u like to break server rules, that server needs more population - we are watching you very closely here at Simple

Every good player gets accused of cheating all the time, and if people wants to cheat in computergames it's allmost impossible to avoid or stop - and even harder to prove in a game from the stone age. You can only sit back and feel sad and pity for every player who feel the need to use cheats - thats your only weapon, everything else will just (time)consume, drain you and make you paranoid (hint).

Some days ago I received a video involving a very known and good player of this community (regarding bf-league) which at first sight looked a bit odd at sketchy, and you actually need quite some BF42/inf/hitreg knowledge to tell if the player were using something or not. And we were talking how to act on this, and my point is: How do you even proove if anyone is cheating in this old old game if you start "a case" about certain players? Do you force every top10-20 player to record all of their gameplay/bf-league matches or what do you do?

No, again I just come back to: I myself just want to chill and have a good time online now and then, and if people feel the need to cheat thats how it is. New games can't even stop cheaters and it's super frustrating when you die to a cheater in your favorite battle royale or some other game - they are everywhere in life and as i wrote before:  "You can only sit back and feel sad and pity for every player who feel the need to use cheats - thats your only weapon, everything else will just (time)consume, drain you and make you paranoid"

As the last note: I don't believe or is a supporter of lifetime bans, at leat not in (small) gaming. And if the Simple community really want's to practice this I believe a lot of other players should be left out in the cold as well.

100% sure we won't follow the US. We are nothing like them and all the weird "self control rights" and billion problems they stand for. Impressive any politician over there doesn't collapses by stress after the first workday with all the problems they have to deal with over there now a days, but maybe they just ignore most of them and that's where they're at now...

aX has a lot of the same rules as Simple but only like 1 active admin who rarely is playing (Lama), that's the main difference. I'm very tired of aX players like Medic, Ludwig, glitchers and what not trolling again and again when I go to aX, because I wish to believe that the server is just as good as Simple, but players like these are ruining it.

With the chance of being a bit biased since me and Butcher are teammates once again, I will yet still leave a comment.

I have played quite a lot of public with or against Butcher the last months, and I haven't seen or noticed anything from him which should cause a permanent ban. He isn't trolling, he barely writes ingame, he isn't stealing anyones vehicles or refusing to help in dogfights - since he barely ever use a vehicle. He is mostly just playing his infantry game with his medic gun and sniper rifle. I believe I myself and the general public player is causing more friendly fire than Butcher e.g.

I have seen ban appeals here on this forum from players who continuously break the rules, talk bad about admins, etc., and their bans are being lifted, so the only reason for not lifting Butchers ban would be... hmm actually I can't find a reasonable reason for not lifting it also knowing he is a respected veteran player.

Strasbourg is awesome! There is so little I would change about that map, which is rare for a custom map. Really excited to play it in a real ligawar. I think it's really nice that both sides aren't similar to each other but yet still not too far apart.

Well, when I asked I didn't know it was such a big task to fix custom maps for AI support. It's no big deal for me since the server will be allmost empty 99% of the time. Not sure but I think and guess that most of the players playing on "new maps server" are there because it's more casual and relaxing than normal aX and Simple..

Can you explain what lightmaps is?

I'm not a fan of the low spawntimes either and would like to see them being increased. It's allmost impossible to capture flags and you mostly just decide to static-spawnrape instead because the "wall of players" just keep coming every 5 seconds. But I guess the "common casual Simple" player prefer the low spawntimes, not sure.

Okay, thanks for clarifying. I know nothing about map modding or adding AI support, thats why I asked :-). It was also only if it was a rather easy task, then it could be pretty cool to have those maps running on the server. I saw that East Docks now have been added to the New Maps Server - nice.

@Ziba: What does all these terms mean: few objects, no lightmaps, terrain shadows, bad fog settings, no custom objects?
- Few objects: You want the maps to have more objects like trees, buildings and such?
- No lightmaps: I don't know what that means
- Terrain shadows: You want the static object to show/create shadows?
- bad fog settings: Yes, some of the maps seems to have a somewhat weird skyline/ fog. But I always thought that the creater of the map "Cherbourg" did that on purpose, to make it harder for pilots / trying to make planes less dominant to the ground vehicles.
- custom objects: Do you mean specific special objects only occuring on 1 map?

I'm personally not too concerned about the visuals and general look of a custom maps. I'm mostly more interested in if it's suited for 8v8+ clanwars: Is it fun and different to play, is it somewhat balanced, are there room for different cool tactical aspects and approaches, and stuff like that.

Okay. I have been absent from bf-league for almost 10 years, but several of the custom maps are familiar to me from old seasons; Forager, Murmansk, Cherbourg, and I also heard that East Docks and Tatouine have been used before in bf-league -  this means that only 3 maps are completely new: El Wadi, Strasbourg and Desna River. And not to sound harsh towards you Dary (it's not meant that way at least) , but then such experienced, old and skilled team as yours only have to practice and get to know 3 maps, which shouldn't take that much time? On top of that every team still got 3 map bans available to use.

The majority of my teammates haven't played ANY of the custom maps ever before, but most of them seems excited and happy about trying out something new though it can be frustrating and confusing at times :-)

@Black Mamba: On what basis do you give your result predictions? I'm just a bit curious :-)

I'l give my prediction later on, but I think I lean very much towards Karlson and Zody's predictions. But I actually think a lot comes down to which team can keep a stable and motivated line-up - I mean this season is gonna run through spring and "summer" and Corona restrictions are probably also gonna get reduced during this time as well, opening up for more fun-time out in the real world. I'm at least curious and excited to see how it's gonna go with Asstralis since it was kindda build around the "dark winter corona lock down".

Haven't most of the custom maps been in use MANY times before in previous seasons?

I already told Alex that it might be worth a shot to contact these players: Arkos, Geezer_lyse, Geezer_maginot, Angeleyes, Natoes.George, Mediocre, Fishermans son, ComBat/Yalla, Nazgul, Chibi, SnuS, Darko, Mean Mother, (test01, Maj.Merlin).

Test01 would fit in perfect since he is Russian as well

Cool! Personally I'm not a big supporter of COOP, but could be nice if it had the memo maps for this season :-). Mamba also mentioned "Jim2102" as a skilled modder

You should have waited with the unveiling, Simon.  The experiment would have been funnier if the video from the COOP server had gotten more compliments and replies. Especially now when it's the one and only big leader trolling all and everyone  ;-)
