Haha very funny t-bone. I actually play Asian (Chinese mainly) servers but not when i am in Europe. The ping just doesnt match up. In my house in Bangkok i have a ping of around 290ms when i join the simple server. Thats no good!
Where is your "tendency" for separation come from t-bone? Dont you think people should be free to choose themselves where to go or be at?

I have to thank petr8 for somehow reminding me to check my cron folders. Gosh what a mess i have in there, all sorts of daemons and clutter working in the background i should have cleaned up a few months ago when i came back over the border to the Netherlands.
Another reason i choose not to use cron for these mouse settings is that often i run this box without any X window server/manager. And in those cases i dont want these mouse pointer settings to load.

Personally I have never insulted any other player. No player has ever complained, just some commie admins that take it upon themselves to police others peoples' thoughts.

Yes, no... i do not want this to run in a timely fasion, just once after boot. Good tip tho!
Sometimes some windows games running in WINE mess up the screen resolution.
Rarely i see the same bug and use a similar to your solution.
Some games i want to run in lower resolution and since i have a multi monitor setup... 
Below is a piece of my .desktop file that I put to /usr/share/applications/ to launch the game directly from the Dock:

Nice tip! I use a similar launch except for the NoDll 1 part. Not sure anymore what that one is about (no DLL file loading???). Also i have no icons on my desktop... i use xfce panels.

The other day i had to switch mouse due to an empty mouse and the laziness for getting new batteries. But since i am a linux gamer i ran into a little problem! This USB gaming mouse had a crazy DPI of 4000 so my mouse pointer went crazy over my desktop and the mouse speed settings in my ubuntu distro just wouldnt fix it for me. So i googled:

The reason why this mouse has two (actually three) USB entries is because this gaming mouse has 9 extra keys on it for macro's, colored leds and other funny stuff. All we are interested in is the acceleration of the mouse pointer found under id=13 libinput Accel Speed which was set to value 1. Since i want to lower the speed i set it on the lowest value possible which is -1. I tried -0.5 but that was still too high:
How to set it with the xinput command:
xinput --set-prop 13 "libinput Accel Speed" -1 So that is the terminal command to adjust the pointer speed to my liking.
To make this setting run on every boot i created a mouse-fix.sh file using nano.
(one of my favorite text editors, u can use ur own obviously)
After that a chmod -x mouse-fix.sh in the terminal to make the file executable. Then i added mouse-fix.sh to my Startup Applications.
Since i was already there i also added in a command to enlarge my mouse cursor... just for the fun of it (larger than the mouse settings allows).

Also i installed a few windows games in linux yesterday (overwatch from blizzard is for free this weekend!) and i had some screen resolution issues. Sometimes some windows games running in WINE mess up the screen resolution. So i decided to add a little keyboard shortcut that will reset my screen to default (max) resolution:
Start menu/panel->System Settings..->Keyboard->Shortcuts
There i went to CUSTOM SHORTCUTS and i clicked the + symbol to create a new keyboard shortcut. To reset my screen i used this command:

and i linked it with the CTRL-ALT-R keyboard shortcut.

Amazing how people seem to enjoy to troll, day in and day out spoiling the clean fun of others. Working hard to become more and more unpopular by the day. A lot of self-hatred and a lack of understanding the world they still seem to want to be in. II do not want to imagine how these personalities are in real life.
But I do know... I have friends like that, most of them dead by now... Who are/were exactly the same.

We were only around 20 years old.... Poor him didn't get chances like you.... But his family and people around him finally got rid of his awful behavior.
I'm not saying you should take the train... I just trying to say how lucky you are so far. I know bad things happened to you in your life. Else you wouldn't be so hateful and frustrated.

Yeah my favorite is xfce4. Still in 2017 i have to add it to any new distro i work on the desktop with. Compiz is of course THE eye candy... cant do without either.
There are some really cool people here in the simple community. I lke it... i see some leet old skool skills here too! And i feel we have a real nice spicy international mix here.
Not to forget there are some awesome admins here who understand their profession. Just to name one: Arkos...
i have seen this guy monitor and adjust +40 players and STILL manage to get a high-score AND be friendly and popular all at the same time... he is KING.
(i not go mention every dedicated Simple person in this thread but you know you are out there and part of the elite group)

Uh admins depend more on CHAT than on radio commands for the obvious reasons.
It is non of my business but i think it would be a good start to be a little more friendly to the above admin. Sure i can see a way why u are pissed. But dont let the drama grow to a ban (or is it already there?).

I started in day one. Dont ask me when that was....
I read a news article on a famous game website that the WAKE DEMO was comming. I kept an eye on the URL for a week or so and YEPS there it was. The same day it came up i downloaded it and installed it... i fell in love with the engine AND the map. A big fat month later the retail came in the stores in the Netherlands and i bought it... just like R2R and SW later.
I modded a bit with the DC mod... joined a DC clan... oh boy i wasted a LOT of time on DICE BF1942.... and i still enjoy it.
