Ok guys,

I got already disappointed that the rtr events happens on saturdays, that's the only day in the week I really have time to play as I want. I have to stand this although there's a server for this mod. It's purely a non-sense, or if you do so, put the vanilla maps on the RtR server. What's the point in having 2 servers with RTR and no server with vanilla ?

Then I connected today, and I saw that half of maps are CTF. Are people going crazy ? Did I miss something ? Do you wanna kill the server ?

I think it would be more stable to come back to the previous way : RtR maps on RtR server. Classic maps on Classic server.
And about the mode CTF/TDM/CQST then why not setting a vote on the forum, and people can vote of how they want each map...

You can't play it with bots. You can only play it in Conquest, CTF, or TDM. So offline it's out of interest. But we'll manage to upload it on servers and make it run.

But if you just want to visit the map, look how it looks like, then run the game, set "create local network" (or "create server") double-click on the map (it must be at the end of the list, with "if_*** " maps, and launch.

Please if you can't download the map, at least don't afraid people with virus stories. This is a map. So if you can't download it, don't make a spoil and ask me in xfire. I spent about 14 (erratum : I spent more than 25 hours) hours to make it and I've made big efforts to make it playable and nice. I don't want people to refuse trying it because they fear a virus. There would be only me, your posts would have been deleted.

There weren't japanese carriers in the battle of britain,
Russians were not in a baggin while entering Berlin,
Omaha Beach had plane support and paras,

But we play those maps as well wink

Do you use a hotspot or wifi ? Where are you from ? What kind of connection do you have ? (I ask cause I'm in France, the server is in France, and last time I played through a hotspot the ping jumped sometimes from 60 to 150... I've even seen it at 300 once or twice...

Did you edit the map ? I know I had this problem once (and nowadays I have this problem on Gazala but I don't mind I never play it). In fact I had opened the map with a map editor in order to look at some settings I needed for one of my own maps. I just opened the map and stupidly inconsciously saved. And when I tried to play the map on a e-server, it show this same message and back to main menu... I tried to get the map from a friend, it didn't change a thing and I had to reinstall the game. But try to get the map with someone anyway. Beware some maps are "map.000 ; map.001 ; map.002..." you'll have to take all the file of the map.

Ammo boxes are at the last floor of both largest houses, medic locker is in the middle house behind the little one.

Ok thanks for information guys. But I haven't enough skill to overload some softwares as you're telling me :s
At the moment I think I'm offered a lot of possibilities with BC only. Actually, the fact is : How a player can have fun ? It starts with a strategic map. Then : How many players will try the map ? You can't bet over 6 or 8 at the same time (more if you have relationships, it's not my situation)

That reduces the field and the size of the map. Though I'm making maps for the pleasure of making maps. I've made about 5 or 6 maps at the moment, but they won't maybe never played sad
Some would tell me I waste time. I don't think so, I just develop my imagination...

What's up with the BF1942 free ? Can I play on their servers with my version ? Can they play on ours with their version ? I don't want to install another bf but that's frustrating that thousands of new players come and I can't meet them... :'(

Their version is the one with japanese having german weapons like Mauser... ?

buy asus. Mine is 2.7 Ghz quad, 6 Go RAM, average-good radeon graphic card, and I got it 600€ (in France) 2 years ago... It still works very well. No problem.

Battlecraft is not very easy to handle. It comes with time, but the more you try things, the more you handle it.
The items have names and render that make you lose yourself (sometimes you put something, you don't see it in battlecraft, but you see it in battlefield, and sometimes the names of items are not explicits)

Besides, there are a lot of little details that will give some personality to your map, like fog settings, skyboxes, light effects, and it may be sometimes faster to make 80% of the map than the 20% left. Because those 20% consist in the details, the little thing "that makes that..." and that are what make a map interesting to play (especially for inf maps)

If you want to create maps, I can help you, I won't be connected a lot on xfire at the moment, I'll be more in a week. So you can begin by getting used to battlecraft, the different buttons, settings, how to put the meshes...
Concerning modding, it's a bit harder and you need to learn some instructions, I won't be the best teacher for it.

Hi all !

For modders mainly : I have a problem, making a map, I used the silo (called "bclas_m1") but I encounter the problem that this building is "ghost mode", that means I can walk through, and also bullets.

Do you know a way in order to add collision to a ghost building ?
