When Elite Dangerous got released a few years ago I opted to not upgrade my PC to start playing that. I dug up my old 1981 BBC Micro B 32k, which was covered in coffee stains and spider shit, and decided to recondition that and its tape cassette recorders instead. I saved myself a load of money and now have a microcomputer as a bonus for when my internet connection can't be arsed working, plus I don't have to listen to people complain about how crap the new version is.

I'm lucky that I have an original copy of BF Vietnam. I think most of the people I've talked to over the years on BF1942 would also like to play Vietnam but couldn't either download a copy or get a copy working.

Some links and writeups to install would help a lot with populating servers, as I've been on HELLO a few times, but due to low player numbers it didn't keep me there.

Someone recently pointed me to www.BF1942F2P.com, that has a download of BFVietnam available, but I've not tried this site myself to know if its genuine or whether or not it works.

Its just gone to 96 slots and I've started getting a freeze up and black screen approx every 15mins. It lasts for about 10 seconds and most of the time it then continues in the game OK. Once it froze completely over the space of 2 hours play.
