There are always possibilities. Independent design is encouraged. The "team" is really the fans of the mod and the players who routinely come out to play it. The crew behind the scenes was born from that.

For those using the 8.2 G.C Installer. The installer should auto-detect most bf1942 installations.

If it does not you need only point it to your Battlefield 1942 install location.
Typically this location is C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield 1942
It installs specifically \Mods\GCMOD or GCMOD and it's parent directory.
Example
Your chosen or included install path - C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield 1942
The program is adding this \Mods\GCMOD
To achieve this C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield 1942\Mods\GCMOD
Do not install directly to the Mods directory.

This mod shouldn't throw to much of curve ball out for BF1942 players. Things to remember, press down to hover when taking off in air vehicles! There is a Game Manual available online here. GC Manual

3.0 Which has no release files handy server side anymore. The hat animation was mentioned as being misread. I would think it could be upgraded.

Update : It was pointed out that a link for the BASE GAME (bf1942) is bad on this thread.
Battlefield 1942 is required for this event. If you do not have it you can download from Team Simple downloads list or the relisted link below and then apply the gamespy patch. Then the Mod Package.

Welcome , I urge you to use Mapvote and look at the xmasbf1918 maps in specific. Coop Santaland is set as a net for new downloads. We all know the AI is 42 is renown!

The less played get organized for occasional events. These mods are seasonal and will be benched after the event. It is unlikely to be seen in a Multiplayer run.

SantaLand is a early mod that released in beta. Nothing new is being served. However, if you would like to go down memory lane and play a few seasonal mods! Join the Snowball fight! If you have not played it, it is new to you! Also, there are easter eggs!
I suggest looking for my other more recent post. The Mod has been bundled with xmas1918 and a .zip manual installation is offered.
3 Mods can be placed at once by downloading the bundle.
An event is planned on the Moongamers Mod server. Dec 19th 4pm est
This serves as a gathering time and place for those interested in experiencing the mods in multiplayer!

( BF1918 ver 3.2 Users - Remove the bf1918 folder from C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield 1942\Mods The xmas1918 maps are reliant on ver 3.1 which is included )
New User Set-Up

1. Download BF1942 , Extract , Run the Setup.exe
2. Patch for online play
3. Download and extract Client Files for the SnowBall Fight!
Instructions for manually placing the mods included in the ReadMe.txt file and are as follows :
Extract XMAS2020.7z, Copy the 'Mods' folder and paste it into the MAIN Battlefield Directory at the path below.
C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield 1942
The will place 3 Mods in the Mods Directory, choose overwite.
The Install Package Includes
BF1918 Vers 3.1 ( Users with version 3.2 will have to unload the newer version of BF1918 )
XmasBF1918 -2008 vers. ( Compatible with BF1918 3.1 only )
Santaland .2
To verify installation open - C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield 1942\Mods
The above mods should be listed.

The mediafire link listed is premium ad free account. Of course I'm happy to list available Mirrors for you. A google search might put you on the one other prior release of this beta mod which would not work on the server.
Available Mirrors include G-Drive and BF-Games.Net list 3 mirrors for the mod. Which I did not check.

Santaland is a minimod that we often see surface around Christmas. For Event Consideration and correct version listing this mod has been given a new download mirror and is currently being served.
In this Mod soldiers are replaced with Elves and Bullets with Snowballs. There are Snowball Cannons, Flying Piano sleds and a few other novelties. Below is a brief guide to the New User with fresh mirrors to download from.
First, you must have the BASE Game installed. One option to do this is a Stand Alone installer from another Mod. The G.C. Installer can be downloaded and ran to install the base game. If you prefer a lighter install of the Base Game. Option two is BF1942 zipped with Punkbuster.
To install using the second option download and extract all files to the same location. Run the Setup file.
Follow up your fresh BF1942 Installation with the Gamespy Patch from Team Simple. This takes seconds to download and apply.

Now you are ready to add any MOD! Santaland 0.2 Includes an Installer.

Please use the Second Download listed if you have BF1942 installed. Yes there are Galactic Conquest servers running currently. 5 of them actually, the event server will be hosted on the game server named -> galacticconquest.rf.gd
This is also the name of the back-up website for G.C. You can find the game manual for Galactic Conquest and downloads on that page.
Additionally the GCMOD.ORG domain has recently been purchased for the MOD and GC Community. Currently, it is semi-present on the web and 'under construction' behind the scenes.

New Maps refers to the new server side modifications. For instance Galactic Conquest never had a CTF mode, nor Slave 1 spawning on that map.
Version 8.2 is the listed download. Retro PC's may wish to install 8.1 as it is lighter in texture and effect.
I'd expect a 8.3_Beta or 'namethispatch.exe' to be available to Streamers by the time of the event. It will offer Re-skinning, a more technical look to desert maps such as tatooine, more contrast between elements and added detail!

Pirates 2 ! The sequel Mod to the infamous Pirates Mod for BF1942 is having an event!
This event requires the base game ( BF2 ) and the Mod Pirates 2. It is being hosted by Geek Beacon within their classic gaming night. It is presented by Lost Soldiers a BF2 clan. This event has garnered support from FHSW and much of BF1942 modding community.
Events like this don't come around often. If you are a fan of the Original Mod this is your chance to experience Pirates 2!
Follow the link below for event instructions. Downloads are available to ease the burden of disc installation and patching.
