Sorry rounding up by a handful of months has so confused you.  My bad.  I didn't realize there is SUCH A HUGE DIFFERENCE between 15 years and what is actually more like 13½ years.  You asked whether I am one of the game developers.  No, but I did obtain the beta well ahead of the official release, sometime in Spring, 2002.

Additionally, I actually am a software developer as well as an avid gamer.  As such I regularly dissect and study rigorously aspects of software, including BF1942, to an extent deeper than very few others.  For over 13½ years (thank you for prompting me to actually figure out how long I've been playing the game), I have played more than I care to recount, modded extensively, and served Battlefield 1942.  There isn't a single pixel on any of the regular maps that escapes me, and while I cannot claim to know all exploits, glitches, bugs or other "undocumented features," I will gladly put my knowledge of the game up against ANYONE's.

Even with the massive amount of unprovoked hatred directed my way, no one can claim ANYTHING against me beyond "he's an asshole" to douche bags and degenerates.  Your claim that I have "no" credibility stinks like the shit it is, because you have NOTHING (oh wait, except for my rounding to "15 years" what in actuality is "13.7 years") that can actually corroborate such a ridiculous claim.  The real truth is, you simply will never ever ever allow yourself to admit that I actually have quite a bit of credibility to anyone who doesn't mindlessly and impulsively hate on me.

Actually, I can tell you this... The last map I played with both Jazzy and Twigs, both were cheating.  I haven't seen Bos cheat since being called out, but I haven't really tested him either so I cannot be certain.  The player named "Elf" has not been seen by me, so I cannot say one way or another about him.

Other cheaters I have identified beyond any doubt include dougkirklus, F-society, and some smurfer named Madd-Crow or something like that.  I have also tested others extensively and can say with the highest confidence that players grzni and sikwitit are totally legit and thus have my respect, especially sik because the guy regularly crushes me (grzni too is an excellent player and a highly-skilled pilot).  Most other players are also legit.

Sadly, though, a recent onslaught of cheaters are ruining Battlefield 1942 (at least on SiMPLE USA) just like what happened with other classics (I think of Quake 1 and Counterstrike, but I'm sure other games suffer a similar fate), and I'm sure with the newer games as well.  That some choose to close their eyes in favor of tranquility is just as pathetic.

I choose to do something about the cheaters, even if only to call them out and then deal with the onslaught of trolls who would rather deny and attack than be concerned about making the game better for all of us legit players.

People can believe whatever they wish.  I make no demands.  I only claim what I KNOW to be TRUE.
