Lol im so NOT a pro player, i used to mod things - the Bob siren mod functioning with "Content check on" took like two-three years of thinking, thinkering and testing to figure out (also my most proud of mod). There was people ready to pay for getting that f***ing  siren removed back on the modding forum löl.
Working with tuia with modding back then was really fun cus we had such good flow and things moved on like fast and easy. Aaanyway what he is doing now i think is called sanity check (or smoke check), check the link if curious about that kind of stuff. Also i think its a good idea btw.

There is almost no difference from BF1942 servers v1.6 to v1.61, it was indeed released because of a security fix. Also, BF1942 Linux server v1.61 was compiled with debug information, unlike BF1942 Linux server v1.6. I don't believe you will find any difference in hit registrations between v1.6 and v1.61 because the server code is practically the same. However, there is a difference between BF1942 Windows server and BF1942 Linux server, the server code is more optimized in the Windows version, because the Windows compiler (Visual Studio) was better at the time than the Linux compiler (gcc) and they probably used optimization flags in the compilation of BF1942 Windows server, unlike BF1942 Linux version which was released as debug with no optiinizations. In addition, have in mind that the BF1942 Linux server was ported from the BF1942 Windows server code base, and there was probably some bugs introduced because of that, there is one, at least, I have noticed.

I remember i stumbled over an old thread in the game developer forum, and at that time there was a high demand of a Linux server for obvious reasons (windows licensing system) but, when it finally came out there was a big dissapointment with how it performed, however this was when the max cpu speed was like maybe 800Mhz (not sure, could have been 500?) so they needed a strong server and get as much as possible out of it, well some admins remarked that they would stay on windows because they needed all the horsepower they could get.

Oh, and i think the compilers at that time favorized Intel cpu´s like a lot!

Will Intel be forced to remove the "cripple AMD" function from their compiler?

There is commands you can use to query the server (forgot them by now tho) and get a lot of data such as player-slot and name. Take a look at HLSW if dont have done that already, it collect and shows the output altho the id nr is of by 1 for some reason. Maybe someone could put together a script to make what you want, but i think this is over my paygrade.

Who knows what will happen when winter comes.  Cold is not good for morale. No gas, too little energy to go around. I hope it will be a warm winter atleast.

The reason tuia put the server from 72 slots to 60 in the first place was because there was a lot of lagg going on in the server.

I think he propably is paying tuia for servercost or something. tuia doesnt give a shit about the server anymore, there is a long list of files and backlogs waiting to be finished and uploaded but nothing happens other than the years goes by. The talk here about saving the community is hilarious, the server now running with content check off just makes the whole thing a sad sad ending for a great game.

No gas pipes going to Europe in those countries.

For example this article is from 10.Oct.2020

Untapped Potential

Excluding Russia’s gas reserves in Asia, Ukraine today holds the second biggest known gas reserves in Europe. As of late 2019, known Ukrainian reserves amounted to 1.09 trillion cubic meters of natural gas, second only to Norway’s known resources of 1.53 trillion cubic meters. Yet, these enormous reserves of energy remain largely untapped.

https://hir.harvard.edu/ukraine-energy-reserves/

Three Ukrainian regions contain hydrocarbons resources: the Dnipro-Donetsk basin, the Carpathian region in western Ukraine, and the Black Sea and Crimea region in the south.

https://www.trade.gov/energy-resource-g … il-and-gas

Im no expert by any means, but doesn´t it seem reasonable that such a large energy deposits could very well change the concentration of power on a large scale?

edit: picture of carbon resources location, maybe it can clarify some of the landgrabs

Have a ok office chair but its totally worn out and ivé been meaning to see if its possible to fix it (anybody knows if its possible to buy parts btw?) but havent got around to check it out, maybe easier to just buy a new one. Meanwhile i kinda have gotten used to the "sofa setup".

Instead of watching videos with all these "experts", try to ask yourself some questions and think about what answers you can give to them?

1. What happens when China invades Taiwan? Notice, I'm not asking "if," I'm saying "when."
2. What happens if something goes wrong in the November elections in the United States?
3. What will happen in case of an incident at one of the Ukrainian nuclear power plants?
4. What will happen in Europe when the conflict in Kosovo resumes in September?
5. How will the rise in price of energy resources affect the competitiveness of European industry?
6. When will there be famine in Africa and Asia?

To be honest, it feels like we are up for a big bang to happen.
