Well, I can record gameplay for BF1942 with no problem. I haven't tried recording any newer game, and I doubt I could play if I did..

It'll run games like Rising Storm 2 Vietnam, Verdun, Rainbow Six Siege all on low settings - but I have not tried any game newer than these.

I have probably played this game on around ten different machines.

Many desktop computers when I was younger (2002-2012~)

many laptops from (~2012-present)

and one tiny 8 inch tablet bought from Walmart for $100 around ~2015 year.

The tablet was the most painful -- because I had to either restart the tablet or log out and back in at the end of every round or else nothing would work. I did use a bluetooth keyboard and a wired mouse that had an adapter to plug into the tablet. This meant I couldn't charge the tablet while playing, so all in all -- it qualifies for the most painful -- in addition to not being able to see things very well because of the small screen. I was desperate and didn't want to spend money on a new laptop, though.

Although this was the cheapest windows tablet I found, it really performed just as well as those desktops I used from the early 2000's while playing BF1942.. you know, around 20 fps on low settings.

I once had a gaming desktop from around (2008-2012~) I am thinking. The great performance really boosted my skill.


And currently I am on a laptop with 12 GB Ram, Windows 10, 1.8 ghz base with up to 4.6 ghz turbo,  4 cores, i7-8565U processor, with NVIDIA GeForce MX250 and Intel UHD 620 graphics cards and average around 250 fps on BF1942.

I am curious what percentage of people play the game on laptop vs tablet, or both. I only play on a laptop now.

And what happens if you don't have an Internet connection or it is interrupted? It makes no sense to have a browser supported version of BF1942 when most people play this game for the Singleplayer campaign mode.

I believe in BF Vietnam if you gray an enemy flag you get a point and then another if you capture it for your team.. Seems this is what some are suggesting but I don't think it is possible in 1942.

I could tell you my real name (but I won't), it's the only name since 2002 that hasn't changed, lol..

{Phantom} comes from the old {Phantom} clan, of which there are a few admins on simple that were also in that clan. That is one of the 10+ servers I helped admin. lol.

No disrespect meant. I just prefer variety, even I have some maps that I don't look forward too (Santo Croce, Kursk, Gothic Line, etc..) but if I just sit my ass and play they are always enjoyable. I think we can both agree if we had to play a map 24/7 Wake Island would be high up on that list, where as others will get almost no one to want to play 24/7.

Btw, please, with your powerful all seeing testicles, tell me why the people would have stayed for a second round of Wake Island when they didnt stay for a new round of Coral Sea?

I have been admin on over 10+ servers throughout the years and at the peak I had 7 populated servers that were full every single day. Never once did I see a benefit in playing a different map just because someone complains that "Kursk", or whatever map they are complaining about loses the players. Sometimes Kursk lost lots of players, sometimes Wake Island lost lots of players, etc.. it happened to every map. The only difference is when it is a map you personally enjoy, you don't necessarily notice or care about the drop in players.

If someone would be able to create a simple .exe install file that will throw a quick join from desktop to the SImple BF1942 server, I would appreciate it. I want new players to be able to click on this. It should install to the desktop and join Simple FRA server. On the desktop it could be called 'Play Battlefield 1942 Online'.

Simple is the best BF1942 server because it always has a new map rotation, if you want a boring rotation feel free to join MoonGamers (Market Garden 24/7) or ax (same rotation for several years, and does not even play all the maps).
