Ram, are you kidding me? Could you share the source, not this small preview? But even this picture is quite enough to realize the aspect ratio. For example, look at my screenshot: 1920x1080 is 16:9 and 609x458 (your) is about 4:3. 4:3 is not a widescreen aspect ratio.
Please, check the Video.con in Modsf1942SettingsProfiles\%YourProfileName% again. This file should be read only.

ok, i took the screenshot using printscreen button. but looks im not computer skilled as u and didnt know how to get that screenshot converted to jpg file (or some pic format) so i pasted it in word doc. i would like to share this but do not know how to do it, but to send u e-mail with attached that doc file

This Origin release I played yesterday makes me think in different ways. Yes, truly, that's really good to see a lot of players online, despite the fact that the majority are playing like newbies, but who knows - will this be the second life for old classics or just temporary people's attention, becoming apparent by the magic word "free"?
P. S. Also, it's not safe to run the new server on this release due to a lot of old well-known vulnerabilities.

I am using 4G hotspot, not the Satellite.
Dude, it's just a router shares one single Internet connection to multiple devices.

Hi,
Some of you may have seen me in the past few days on BF1942. My Internet connection is not the best, but it's the best I can get. I have satellite Internet, you can't play on Satellite, but I just got a US Cellular smartphone W/4G hotspot. Still my downloads are less than 10MBps, but my ping times on Speedtest are around 125, which is playable.
1. Ping does not depend on the bandwidth but it depends on the route to the server.
2. When you take a test on speedtest.net, you are getting results of the ping to another servers, not this one. Try to execute this in Windows console and you will get your ping value:
ping -t 188.165.220.115
Also, you always can press Tab button in game.
I still have problems with occasional unresponsiveness, and "warning: connection problems detected." Is this common to most?
You are not the only one, it's server problem and it's temporary. I hope so.
Another thing, I only had 1.61b patch, and I see now there is a 1.6.19 patch. I am currently downloading it to see if it helps, 1/2 hr. remaining.
I think you don't need anything else. Just play.

What is your screen resolution, RamYam? Share the screenshot.
p.s. is there some more tweaking besides this patch installation?
For example, I can explain you how to configure graphics in VideoDefault.con but you can find it yourself via Google.

If you have Windows 7 x64 installed on your PC and also have some problems with Battlefield 1942 crashes to desktop without any error, try to change the compatibility settings (to Windows XP SP3) of these files and run it as administrator:
1. Right-click the file, and then click Properties.
2. In the Properties dialog box, click the Compatibility tab.
3. Click on Run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows XP SP3.
4. Select the Run This Program As An Administrator check box.
