if you visit forum, you need to read all new topics or they get marked as read on your next visit (or when your session expires, whatever)
i don't like this behaviour but it's probably th best fluxbb can do

it probably affects the updates you're getting from server about stuff going on on battlefield (either less updates per second or less info on more distant events)
anyway, setting it to modem sounds like a bad idea (unless you have bandwidth problems)

whole map rotation is randomized probably twice a day (i think some time between midnight and 1am and probably around noon, ask tuia)
so if whole rotation changes, it's automatic, not admin decision (and frankly i haven't seen anyone skipping omaha ever)

i joined the game and measured the traffic, it's about 128kbit/s

that's 16kB/s, that's roughly 56MB per hour
