Just an idea but worth a try as I have seen this happen.  Open up a game in single player mode and edit your player name to something but the default and save under custom (button at bottom of window I think) enter game and run around for a bit.
Leave the game and quit BF1942, it should have now created a "custom Profile" when you now go to the server page use your custom profile name and provided you have full write access over the folder and files it should save any settings.  This last bit is important because MACs as you know getting hissy over permissions and this all may be related so it might well be worth checking the read and write permissions of the game folders.

I would edit your host file manually to reflect the new IP address of the in game server browser as described to you earlier in this thread, this might help guide you through https://www.imore.com/how-edit-your-mac … would-want

Equally you are not authority on which server "does it right" so please keep your opinions to yourself, I posted a video to prove my point regarding the base camp on Moonies but you chose to ignore it.
Just because you got lucky during a game on RTR server, probably playing as sniper or eng, does not prove you are the better player and if you were you could come back anytime and repeat it couldn't you?
Equally I don't really care who you think the better players are as I am only here to play and have a bit of fun, I don't need to turn it in to some petulant "I am better than you" scenario because the game is designed as a team game not a points means skill game, something you seem to forget.

It does not matter as long as you are routing traffic that hits the external on those ports to the right internal IP address.

Also check to see if this line is in your "hosts" file at  c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Mamba why are you so hell bent in making everything a competition with prizes and such why cant we just play the game and have fun?  With you it always has to be an 8 v 8 or a 12 v 12 with recorded results, god dammit I just want to play.

Ok so I went to Moongamers today to see how this works in practice.  You will see that although Axis held all of the flags we still had an Allied tank in Axis main driven by Colonel Zit who just so happened to be Allied top player, well now there's a thing.  You can call it skill all you want Mamba but that is simply point whoring.

Oh Mamba now you are just talking shit.  If this game was supposed to simulate war then the team numbers would be forced to replicate this, the machinery would have the relevant performance but it doesn't ...why?.... because its a game and like any game it has rules.  Lets also be fair that its not just European servers that don't allow baserape is it?  Many have said that since Moonies have removed that rule the server skill level has dropped considerably and I have seen it to when I play there, which is rare these days I will admit.  As for your last point well that is complete BS.  The last time I played on Moonies Sgt Punky came into allied main stole the B17 and proceeded to bomb the crap out of the allied main for the duration of the map, the map was Bocage.  He did this at the beginning of the round and kept it up all through the game long before any flag was taken, I mentioned this to the admin at the time and was told "Oh Punky always does that" so please do not tell me that it is ok or that the skill level is higher because it simply not true.

After you were playing on one of my servers talking to another player regarding how many glitches and bugs you know and asking if he could show you some more, I wont mention who the other player was.
I thought you were a clean player but after reading that I am not so sure now, sorry.
