Until you post that picture to prove you are playing clean, you're permanent banned, laggy. You continue to evade bans, that doesn't help, too.

Wake Island wins the map poll largely, probably because of the BF1942 Multiplayer Demo. Some few players still stick to the BF1942 Demo v1.0 Wake Island map only, which is free to play, with no nose camera view, no hit indication, when you run it looks like you're jumping around, and the super-jump bug. Those who never played it, can experience how it was BF1942 in the beginning. It's a leap to the past.
I'm sure everyone has their own ideas about modding some maps. The problem is to please everyone and realize those modding ideas.

Yes, most probably is a router problem. Unless, it's on your side. To clear any doubts, try to see if your ping is stable in other BF1942 servers.

That router problem will probably be fixed.

Some players like those maps. In fact, I would bet Midway is one of the most popular maps in BF1942. It ranked 6th place in http://blogs.battlefield.com/2012/09/10 … ry-bf1942/ map poll. Midway and Invasion of the Philippines can be improved, though.

As for the server crashes, they happen several times a day. Reconnect some seconds later.

tuia, game do opens up, the FAIL happens when i click the multiplayer button - froze poooww!!!
singleplayer do work. in most public places MP dont, i even disabled my firewall, annoying shit yes.
if the ports are blocked like u say, i might use VPN, still i dont have much hope to resolve this...(

Hmm... I think I can make a patch to avoid that freezing problem. I'm almost sure it's the same thing when Gamespy server is not responding, it freezes the game when you click Multiplay>Internet button.
In the meanwhile, try to connect directly to the server (create a shortcut to BF1942.exe and append +restart 1 +joinServer 188.165.220.115:14567) in your school network and see if it works.

Probably, your school network blocks certain ports (14567 for BF1942).

Referring to not include Google Chrome? I don't use or recommend Google Chrome, even though it's fast, because of privacy concerns. I use SRWare Iron instead of Google Chrome.
