Well, after a few hours I haven't been able to find any kind of pattern, but now I can convert from decimal to binary to hex in my head. tongue

So you're probably busy right now with Christmas, ( I'm meeting family later today), but if you're not too busy in the next few days do you think we could discuss this?

Thanks

I have everything ready, could I get a copy of the modded executable? I can't port origin at the same time due to the way wineskin works, so not having origin will make the game bug when it tries to load.

Edit: yeah, I finished the port but the game itself gives me the error: "Activation.dll failed to load" any idea what that is? Probably an origin thing.

Edit2: is there a way I can talk to you directly through irc or something? I'd like to address this directly.

He already gave the answer, but that's a simple problem to summate, since the difference between terms is the same you can average the terms and multiple by the number of terms.

Anyway, I'm working on my port, but I'm encountering a few hurdles along th way. I'll update you on the progress, but I'll probably need a modified executable to run it on mac.

Edit: if you'd like to discuss my project in detail, or if you have any concerns about giving me the executable, send me an email and we can talk more in depth about this. I tried to send you q private message or email, but I couldn't find either option on the forum.

This isn't a public project, I'm porting this for my own personal use. I have 1942 on Origin for windows, however I want to be able to play it on mac. I'd like to use the executable to play origin 1942 on origin servers, so it's a legitimate and necessary use. I won't be sharing the port or executable, so there are no legal or safety concerns. The exe makes it possible for me to use the program as intended. Also, there's no need for a public release, you could email me a download.

There is no mac version on Origin, I'm going to port the windows version using WINE. I read in the thread you made an executable that didn't require origin, and I think it may prevent problems from occuring with the port.
Using WINE the windows game folder is put into the wine application, which allows the mac os to run the program. It doesn't emulate windows itself, meaning I can only port the game and not Origin. For this reason I think using a modified executable that doesn't require Origin would be necessary.

Which is precisely why I'd like to use the modded exe? I heard the original one requires origin, so I can't port the game as is.

I'm trying to port Origin BF1942 to mac (just turned free recently), and I read that someone had made such an exe. Could you give me a link to download it? Origin doesn't work on mac at the moment.
