SOLVED

1. downloaded and installed the game from here
2. installed the bf1942-v1.61-retail-patched
3. installed the Battlefield 1942 GameSpy patch (2024-02-11)

installed for Windows 7:
1. vc_redist.x86.exe
2. d3d8.dll
3. DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer

game runs!

Hi folks,
been playing for decades. Now I Can't install the game on Win7 with SP1

Can someone please give a step by step instruction, on how to?

What I did => download BF1942 from this site.
=>download the 1.61 retail patched and overwrite the bf1942.exe and few other files.

=> downloaded BF1942 - master.bf1942.org - Patch and overwrote bf1942.exe

Game won't start

Can someone please provide a link of a working game?

I can not run the game.

Below version from mega.nz won't work :-/

I'm on Win7 (Parallels) and it the game (another version) used to work.

edit: to clarify, it uses Tuia's installed BF1942 as a base and BFPlus by uuuz, it also has the required DirectPlay file (no need to install that one anymore) and it has the D3D8to9 file already added, which resolves some black screen errors.

Hy folks,

I have been banned from Simple servers for no reason.

I had some difficulties with cd keys recently, however it's freeware now (?)

EDIT: I am only banned on the Simple / Battlefield 1942 server.       The Simple / Tanks a lot server not !!!


Ps.I had purchased the game back then when it was released
