Battlefield 1942

I made a quick BF1942 movie yesterday. Since I've lost the materials from the past movies I need to have some kind of emotional event as I can show my kids one day. The final movie, here it comes!

Re: Battlefield 1942

Thank you George! smile
Are you being ironic Timmy? It's almost only dog fights and some inf parts added in the final part. I wish I could add some more action on the ground but, would be a too long video, in taste to music and etc. blala lolol.

I liked the black&white aspect, way cool!

I too use a black crosshair & noticed yours had a white outline when it got dark. It that some special download or just the video?
I also noticed a "refresh" on that one external view, is that a joystick feature?

I have a purple crosshair as you can see in the beginning with no visuals effects. The black and white violette visual makes it look like I have a black crosshair .
No it's the cockpit view. If you hold shift and move your mouse you can spot around a half globe. Its a original script. Most of the players never realized that, its a good advantage.

Final movie?! Hope you're not calling it a day.
Video is nice. What program did you use to edit your video? You should definitely create another video with some infantry action (assault gun, sniper, engineer rifle, bazooka, whatever) and tank action. Maybe a video showing a bit of everything you can do.

Why do you always ask which software was used for recording and editing? lol

I'm glad you all liked it, appreciated! I used the basic movie maker and fraps as recording. Alot of material is remaining actually, alot of infantry action. I wanted to add more of them in between the cuts but it wouldn't click with the song (I even tried to cut in the song so it could fit perfectly in the next cut when the song ends, too much work...) and another sound theme would be too much. The "final" movie aka the title makes the video going stronger, like pay tribute to such an admirable game. The pleasure is on my side, this was only the semi final!

Re: Battlefield 1942

I've once talked with Millerke about it already and i had the idea to make one "movie" which includes every (standard) map of Bf following through in their historical happening. Means we would need quite a lot of people and it's a lot of work but maybe some people are interested?!

that was my first idea when i cut the inf parts in between the flying parts. Have one cut of every each map in the game. But such as historical story sounds awesome.

It must be the last historical movie about Battlefield 1942. What a great idea! I'm in.

Re: Battlefield 1942

That's a god damn good movie but imo it's getting boring in the length, I don't want the final movie to be like this. It has to me a more stronger feeling. It doesn't have to be the history of world war II but the history as we have experienced it all together. To have a free spec and a normal spec mode in a big pcw and some fps shootings. Save all the materials and send it do the manager. The pleasure is on my side to do the edit but if there would be anyone else with a better experience in editing feel free! (Notice this was just an example of a strong feeling tribute)

Re: Battlefield 1942

Well, what we need is a stuff.
Someone with strong computer, who can record everything with very good quality. + big hdd space
Someone for movie remaking with programs.
Someone for coordination.
Someone for the story to make.
Someone who will upload it fast.(Good upload speed)
And of course the "heroes" in big numbers! + following the orders! So no Rambo style + behave.

Re: Battlefield 1942

One more

http://youtube.com/watch?v=Cjx7ZrKnIOs
I have 5 ideas for videos, with music and stuff, but seems like they always will be ideas only  smile
One of them is to make something like a trailer - 4 minutes, trailer music, almost no scenario, fights, explosions, deaths etc. Some modding (textures, effects), different camera positions including rotating vehicle camera (external and internal, showing the players inside a plane for example), like here at 0:38

http://youtube.com/watch?v=AlDcYozTb88
Another one is a movie about B17 raid on Germany. Everything the same but with a scenario. Like this

http://youtube.com/watch?v=0-CZvp2YQRA
+ dogfights also, probably Bf 109 and FW 190 vs Mustangs and Thunderbolts (taken from different mods)

Re: Battlefield 1942

Or!
Just a small squad.
The most of the movies based on allied squads, but what about a german/jap/italian squad?
I know some movies shows from their point, like the classical Stalingrad, or The Bunker movie(horror) etc ...
