Hello today I was playing and kbased (although I was not kbasing but anyway)...
When I tried to re-connect, it failed because of cd-key already in use. I bought the game (no download or hack or nothing)
I never gave it to a friend or anyone else, so I think my cd-key was stolen by somebody somehow. What can I do ??? Besides if this person uses my serial, that means he's going to use it later so I will never be able to play although I payed for it !
Is there any possibility to ask the server to save this serial "as mine" and eject automaticly the thief(ves) ?
Did you try it again? I mean when you go out of the game with alt + f4 and try to reconnect, then you have this notification for some seconds. I can't believe someone stole your key.
And I thought on SiMPLE the key doesn't matter...
mine does that sometimes if I try to connect and fail to connect, then try to connect again quickly. It should work the second time.Try it again.
ich, you are using one of the most common BF1942 CD-keys. You get the error message "CD-key in use" when entering the server because another player in our server is using the same as yours. Go to C:Program FilesEA GamesBattlefield 1942eReg, run Battlefield 1942_Code.exe and enter the CD-key you have in your booklet when you bought the game.
The server doesn't check for valid CD-keys, it still checks if anyone in the server is using the same CD-key.
either is he lying that he bought the game or really all the people get this common key thats actually his
but then he had to put it on internet idk..
"is he lying that he bought the game"
If I was lying, I would not be here and explaining my problem.
No actually I bought 3 times BF 1942. One for me and two for my brothers.
And I had the problem this afternoon and tonight no problem. Now it's 1:36 AM and I got this problem again.
And I payed for it, so if somebody wants to use a key he uses another than mine. On others sites I saw it could be a problem because of keygens. But they also explain that a keygen offers thousands of possibilities so that's just a lack of chance...
well you see you havent been completely honest, you bought it for ur brothers too, he must have been using same key as when you tried
problem solved ?
Nah. If he bought BF1942 three times - he could also got three different serial keys. Because you get one key per game cd.
happens to me too, just wait a 1 minute or two and then reconnect..
Ok, I'll phone my brothers I know they don't play bf anymore. But what boring to have to reinstall bf with their cd keys.
The person that's using your CD key is yourself.
Before joining a game look to see if your still in it. That's with the server stats window in the game browser menu.
What is happening is the server still holds onto your information if you improperly disconnect. You just have to wait until you don't see your name on the server's players list.
Now unless someone knows your Cd-key because you gave it to them. There is no way it can be generated, and I doubt they have a CD-hash to CD-key converter
You don't need to reinstall BF1942 to change to your brother's CD-key. Just open Battlefield 1942_Code.exe in eReg directory inside your Battlefield 1942 directory and type the 22 digits.
