Ban Appeal

Hello,
I think I just got banned from the server: SiMPLE | BF1942 No key [USA]. It happened about 15 minutes ago from the time of this post. I think the banning admin was "TOOKIE GOODNITE", but that is simply a guess. I'm not sure what I did to deserve a ban, as I have read the game rules, but would like to be unbanned, if possible. I think this is a great server you guys have here & would like to donate funds (UNITED STATES DOLLARS) to help fund the server. I used to be a BF1942 Server Owner for 3 years. I know how to fully run & operate BFSM 2.0/BFRM 2.0 (Battlefield Server Manager, Battlefield Remote Manager) if you guys need any help. I had an entire administration working for me, and things were really well. But sadly, as time went on, players often left BF1942 for 'newer' games. It saddens me to this day, since I believe there is really NO REASON to EVER stop playing BF1942. I've been playing for around 7 or 8 years now. I know a few tricks on Omaha Beach if anyone wants me to teach them. I have Xfire, MSN, Facebook, TeamSpeak2, TeamSpeak3, Mumble, & Ventrillo.  smile

See ya on the battlefield,

Yes I banned you for 1 day. I know what Y'all are up to. I did tell you not to vote early, but I gave you no warning.
I would like to know what server you ran? Surely not HKS.

Re: Ban Appeal

I've known about the voting trick for years, but didn't know it was against the rules here. I am sorry for that. I wished I had been simply kicked/warned for it, instead of banned. It was an honest mistake & I was looking forward to Omaha Beach, which would have been a fantastic game (Omaha always is fantastic). Again, I didn't know I had broke the rules. I am sorry for it. I won't happen again & I respect the ban. sad

I owned a BF1942 server for 3 years called "Blood Bath Omaha". We ran Omaha Beach nearly all the time. I would love to tell you so much more about it, as I have fond memories of it. We had hundreds of 'members' & I made many good friends on the shores of Omaha. I'm in the SiMPLE Mumble right now, if you'd like to chat. Also, is there a donation link (preferably PayPal) to the SiMPLE Server? I *really* like the fact that you guys operate a USA-based server. That's a big PLUS for me!  smile

Re: Ban Appeal

When a new map begins, if you are one of the first players to load the map, and you vote for a map straight away, the server will accept the map vote, based on the players that were when the map vote started. When the other players finish loading the map they too can vote for the map, but the server won't correct the number of votes needed for this extra players. For example, there were 4 players when a map vote started, only 3 votes are needed to get through, but then 20 players finish loading their map they can vote too, but the server doesn't correct the majority of votes, so out of 24 players only 3 votes are needed.
A map vote delay would solve this problem, or a possible workaround is to reduce the map vote time to a very short one.
