No, all road, but it makes an Triangel Basel > Amsterdam > Paris, instead going directly to Paris from Basel.

You can also use > Start > Run > cmd > pathping 163.172.13.221

It takes 2 minutes or so.

...

When you use Pingplotter, you will have a TrialTime for 2 weeks or so.

At the first day you use PP normal, then, in 2 days or so put the date of first use in the link on your Desktop, (just as reminder). Then before using Pingplotter you change first the date and change it back after.

Like this you can use FullVersion unlimited.

Re: Moving to Paris

Since the change my ping went 40%(60+ vs 40-45ms) higher. And I can speculate there is some significant outflow of players in the off-hours compared to before. I no longer see some asians and australians that used to play here ocasionally. It's advisable you rise up the auto kick for ping barrier.

Today with 70 players it was really bad, yes.

I guess tuia has no access to energy functions of Bios. Disabling EnergySavingFunctions of newer CPU/Boards would avoid those issues, i guess.

C1E/C3/C6 should be disabled. It also improves min FPS of newer games on everybodies PC.

im pretty sure the main source of lag at this new server is not due to cpu throttling / power saving modes

Re: Moving to Paris

could be cpu performance (not throttling / power saving), network performance, drivers, software, or many other things

tuia has high server insight compared to us, so its unlikely that we quickly can think of something in that area that can be useful to him, or that he makes big basic mistakes

Performance shouldn't be a problem, i think. It's a CPU with higher singlecore performance then before. Drivers and Software are the same.

The CPU has a bit less cache. This shouldn't be a problem, ... but i don't know for sure.

...

I understand tuias decision to change to a cheeper server. (It's not bader in case of performance of CPU, shouldn't be).

On the other side i asked several times in the forum to donate for the server. Not many people showed interest.

I still think it would be not more then fair to support tuia financially.

Re: Moving to Paris

dunno if tuia has had the time to optimize the server, he has helped me before as Linux is not exactly easy to wrap your head around.

Re: Moving to Paris

The old server will be shut down next Wednesday. Around 20% of the players are still connecting to it, which probably means they won't connect to new server after it gets shut down. They have been noticed, though.

They know, but choose to connect old way to have anonymous IP.

I don't think so. Only trolls do it. The rest of the players are not tech-savvy to update their game and servers list or they do not simply understand english.

Re: Moving to Paris

...

The best thing is just to shut the old Server down.

I warned so many players due Remote and also with personal messages over the last weeks.

They don't care.

The best is to let them run into the wall as soon as possible. Perhaps they wake up then.

What do you mean by disconnected? Your game crashes when map changes or you get "failed to connect" error message?

A couple people think the notifications about "*NEW* Simple" means there is a new simple server.. like an additional server with different maps.

Re: Moving to Paris

This would be a lot easier, if everyone used hostnames to connect to servers. Instead of updating server lists and favorites, to reflect the IP address change, you would connect to team-simple.fr or play.team-simple.fr, which always points to the new IP address.

When the game ends and  the map change, says that it' loading but after 1 or 2 min it's say  you got disconected from server .
