Re: Looking for a new SECURE and PRIVATE smartphone?

I have been waiting for such a phone for quite some time but I don't think it is going to happen. There was Ubuntu Phone, Firefox OS, now they are dead. There still is Sailfish OS but I am too lazy to figure out how to install it on an Android phone. To this day I still use several Symbian devices and my Blackberry which lets me run Android apps. I don't think there will be any secure alternatives to Android, iOS or Windows in the near future with the same capabilities.

Re: Looking for a new SECURE and PRIVATE smartphone?

Well i got a feeling this one IS going to make it. See the fund stats, their previous successful product launches and their business model as a whole.

Ubuntu, firefox OS and Sailfish OS are not what this is. This is a phone that is NOT conical or mozilla... you can use ANY linux distro u want.

I seriously miss my S60 symbian nokia E90 and before that my nokia communicator 9500. But hey i miss my casio FX-880 more!

Casio-fx-880P-S.JPG

Enough about the past... if u need a solid smartphone (in the future) and u got some cash, balls and a good heart... you get this one. Else just click on... nothing to see here.

(good luck with ur windows apple phones, decode some of those wireshark packets for once..... ).

Who needs you? You are only interesting to the corporations and the security services as a part of statistics. On the contrary, it will be more suspicious if you aren't using modern devices and services nowadays.

Yes true, i guess it is and because it is also unsolicitated i called it spam in the first sentence. Sorry if i brake forum rules with this. May i add i do not have any stocks or affiliation with this company other than that i ordered one complete phone myself.

I believe in this company and product and i emdorse it for all the obvious reasons.

I completely agree. One client of mine, a criminal, still uses his flip-phone (dum phone) and i try to explain to him that that aint much saver especially for the business he is in. He does believe me and knows its true (unsafe) but still using it.

I completely agree with nameless: The corporations, security services of alike powerful entities are only interested in us as statictis and assets. What we can do for them and not what we get back from it.

Me personally am on several watch lists of the world and seen quite a few of the dossiers of nsa alike security agencies about me. I have access to these dossiers through my work. And 30% of what i have read in there is hilarious! I guess for many people it would be shocking... especially if you never heard of Snowden.

I feel nameless is pointing out a truth here. Also i cannot claim this phone will safe your day. Tons of holes and backdoors can be found in linux as well and using these makes you suspicious. But if u want to protect yourself a little bit better and become less of a statistic this phone will help alot. I wonder what TSA is going to do when u show up at an American airport with a bitcoin in one hand an such a phone in the other!

Anyway sorry for the spam... please ignore it if u are not interested.

Re: Looking for a new SECURE and PRIVATE smartphone?

I think it will be a useless phone but we will see. There is also Samsung working on its Tizen OS - a few phones are already available with that OS. In the end the apps will count to most users, especially they want useless messenger apps like Whatsapp and the like. If the phone doesn't haz it, you can forget it.
