CD/Origin Server

Hello, I just bought a server for BF1942 (gameservers.com), and it's running on 1.61 and I would like it to run on CD VERSION 1.61b and the Origin version 1.612. How do I change the version? (Option BF1942 Free v1.612 in MOD ??)

If you don't know if you are running a Windows server or a Linux server then I would have to say you have got bigger problems to deal with before attempting an upgrade.

Ok so run the upgrade, I am not sure I now understand your problem?

Do you want to make it so you can have CD players and Origin players?

Yes it will.  The differences between the two versions are very small but CD users should be able to join as well as Origin players.

From your screenshots, gameservers.com is using BF1942 Linux server files. Probably, selecting that BF1942 Free v1.612 option will allow you to have both Origin (v1.612) and Retail (v1.61) players in your server. You can test this by joining your server with a BF1942 v1.612 client and then with a BF1942 v1.61 client. Download from http://team-simple.org/download page Battlefield 1942 v1.61 Retail executable and Battlefield 1942 v1.612 Retail executable and replace your BF1942.exe file every time.
If you cannot join with both versions, you can easily upload to your FTP folder the patched Battlefield 1942 v1.612 Linux server binaries from http://team-simple.org/download and it will work.

Not sure, but i think they block some files from being altered (have used there services on occation)
