hi, i play on your server sometimes and i find it rly annoying that the admins on ur server randomly change the map or restart it whenever they feel like it. they dont ask players and it annoy every1 in the game too. tonight we play berlin twice :-( every1 wanted coral sea and asked admin to change but he didnt

When was it that Berlin was played twice, instead of Coral Sea? I can't find it in the server logs. What is your username in the server?

Berlin just took about 5 - 10 min. and some people asked me to restart, as i did then. The second round as well didnt take more then 15 min. i think, so no need to complain.

Yesterday nobody changed the map when i was there and after it was said not to change the maps, i didnt see anyone changing the maps.

When was it that ppl change maps?

i cant remeber that someone wanted to play coral again ? be honest! if you want some proof i have everything on video! and as dary said he restarted because ppl wanted him to do so, me too. so everything is fine

i was from who ask to restart for berlin and with many others dont know why Mr T make this post as a problem for only one map...

I really dislike some maps in the map list but other players (mostly clanless players) do like them so it's no use, and definitely not on a 72 slots server, to ask the players which map they would like to play, if they want a restart, and such on. U will never get the same answer

I guess you put some thoughts into the map list so once you have the list admins should stick to it.
If like 90% of the admins don't like the list or some maps, just change the list or remove the 'problem' maps.
By doing that u will prevent the above discussion.

Yes, most clan players say that they don't like Invasion of the Philippines and Omaha Beach maps, for example, but they seem to be some of the favorite maps of most players in the server. It's impossible to please everyone. The idea is to give the most variety in the map list.
The above discussion is actually a storm in a teacup. It didn't happen as the first poster described.

Omaha Beach i recommend to make it on, its for challenge and it reminds me -saving private ryan movie!!!

True.
Voting option is one of the most annoying things on a public server.
There's enough spam already with the ingame commands

just take the !setnext command from everyone.. so noone will complain anymore about it.

!setnext, !change, !restart and !runnext commands are hard-coded in BFServerManager. I could change BFServerManager executable not to recognize those commands, but it's a minor issue, now, no one is changing maps.

Hey Assi/tuia I will like to hear when map change happen? I played in battleaxe and map crashed freakin 2 times right in the middle of round time, fuckin frustating two times I was leading huge gone for nothing ..... I left after that many did too. If it is battleaxe dont go hard on PTS guy other map than axe I fully understand ur decision, greets guys.

It wasn't Battleaxe and it wasn't after a crash.
He changed the next map while Bocage was on from Battle of Britain to Caen.
I don't like that map either but it's on the map list so I respect that.

OK confirmed u guys did the right thing. I understand ur decision even my most hated maps midway/desert plane maps need to be on people have different taste.

The server crashes are being caused by someone, unfortunately. The admins have map access rights so they can use !runnext command if after a server crash the map gets loaded again.
