Ka'ba-ye Zartosht is the name of a stone quadrangular and stepped structure in the Naqsh-e Rustam compound beside Zangiabad village in Marvdasht county in Fars, Iran. The Naqsh-e Rustam compound incorporates memorials of the Elamites, the Achaemenids and the Sassanians in itself in addition to the mentioned structure.

Naqsh-e Rostam [ˌnæɣʃeɾosˈtæm]) is an ancient necropolis located about 12 km northwest of Persepolis, in Fars Province, Iran, with a group of ancient Iranian rock reliefs cut into the cliff, from both the Achaemenid and Sassanid periods. It lies a few hundred meters from Naqsh-e Rajab, with a further four Sassanid rock reliefs, three celebrating kings and one a high priest.

Pasargadae (from Ancient Greek: Πασαργάδαι, from Old Persian Pāθra-gadā, "protective club" or "strong club" Modern Pāsārgād) was the capital of the Achaemenid Empire under Cyrus the Great (559–530 BCE), who ordered its construction. Today it is an archaeological site and one of Iran's UNESCO World Heritage Sites, about 90 km to the northeast of the modern city of Shiraz. A limestone tomb there is believed to be that of Cyrus the Great.

The bad thing is that this beautiful and history-rich country is overrun by Islam.

Re: Historical places of Iran

Many people raped the land. Not just Iran...

Sometimes i wake up in the morning thinking "shall i rape my neighbors wife, get his gold and brag about it in the streets?".

I not do that, not because i cannot... i am sure i can get away with it. His wife already gave me plenty signs she loves me. The gold he has i can spend somewhere else. His kids will not mind they busy "with work" and "pay taxes" and they too busy figure out "whom to vote for". The typical sheep....

I not do it... because i am simply NOT THAT GREEDY. I do not need a 3rd wife and even more gold. Besides... i love my neighbor! He is a honorable man. He runs an old peoples home in Arnhem, he loves his clients and family. Only a retarded monster would attack such men.

BUT... last December some muslim guys broke into his home.... u know... he aint a believer!!! We all know that! The aggression some religious people have, the hate they carry with them. Makes me sad! You cannot count all the dead bodies down below, many of them did not die in peace. Thanks guys... ur all so wonderful! (not)

Amazing photos and share KIN... love it!!! +1

Some incredible architecture and my imagination is they were buildings of pure beauty and serious mathematics in construction.
Before I meet my maker, I would LOVE to see those buildings and hand carved artwork in the stone.

Bishapur was built near a river crossing and at the same site there is also a fort with rock-cut reservoirs and a river valley with six Sassanid rock reliefs.

The most important point about this city, is the combination of Persian and Roman art and architecture that hadn't been seen before Bishapur construction. Before Bishapour was built, almost all the main cities in Persia/Iran had a circular shape like the old city in Firuzabad or Darab. Bishapour is the first Persian city with vertical and horizontal streets. Also in the city, especially in interior design, we can see tile work that's adapted from Roman Art

Choga Zanbil is typically translated as 'basket mound. It was built about 1250 BC by the king Untash-Napirisha, mainly to honor the great god Inshushinak. Its original name was Dur Untash, which means 'town of Untash' in Assyrian, but it is unlikely that many people, besides priests and servants, ever lived there. The complex is protected by three concentric walls which define the main areas of the 'town'. The inner area is wholly taken up with a great ziggurat dedicated to the main god, which was built over an earlier square temple with storage rooms also built by Untash-Napirisha.

In this prominent role five people are stoned to death. In the middle of Mars II in re-marking mode, you can have it in order to maintain your power, maintain your power, gain your power. The assignment of this prominent role to Bahram II is to establish the king's crown, since in the Sassanid era, each king had his own crown or crown. On either side of the king, on each side are two of the elders of the city, who can hold themselves up in honor of the king.
