up/down speed per user

Yeah stupid question maybe... i could measure this if i just join a server

but does anyone maybe know how much a regular player needs?

i mean how much kb/s (or whatever) per slot is needed for vanilla bf1942

up/down

not that i think we need another new server, ax and simple already have empty slots, the two most populair servers

15 years ago the max bandwith was really low.

I was reading somehow 15-20 kb per sec. per Client or so. Even if it's the multiple...

I can take a measure later from server, the thing is that the more players, the more data is transmitted back and forth. It doesnt look much, but a popular server can use up over 1000Gb per month easily.

edit: will try to make a snap when more player in the server, or you can install vnstat and make some tests yourself smile

Re: up/down speed per user

Same as bud observed, here is our server's throughput when 20 players are on:

Sending about 2.5x as compared to receiving, and not even close to taxing the throughput cap.
