Chatban for 42?

Just wondering if it would be possible to create some sort of chat ban only for 42, as you can find in other games. Would be a good solution instead of kicking/ banning players (cough- merlin- cough) from servers. Maybe let someone who is chatbanned use their radio commands only? Anyone with some modding/ experience running a server who can weigh in on this? Thx.

I mean there's an ignore command in the game isn't there? Open the cmd console and ignore .id

If I remember right, you have to type in the !ignore.(player number) command at the start of each new map, which can get annoying. I've noticed alot of people getting banned/ kicked lately for chat spam on both simple and moon servers, so thought some sort of chatban which could be applied by an admin like a regular ban could be an alternate solution. Annoying people could still play on the server, but everyone else wouldn’t have to read their constant stream of inane drivel. Not sure if it is even possible, but thought that this would be the place to ask.

I like the !ignore command. But an actual command like !mute .# that would disable a person's ability to chat would be useful for those who complain about everything or insult everyone every 10secs.
