My user name disappeared from forum registration

I have posted in the forums before, within the last few weeks, so I know I had registered here.  Tonight I tried to login and it didn't recognize my user name.  It even let me register again using the same user name, so I know it was really gone.  Anyway I am back, but what happened?  Several days ago I noticed the forums were completely gone, and I was getting page does not exist errors, but it came back after a few days.  Could my registration have been lost because of whatever problem was going on with the server?

I figured it was something like that.  Thanks, SurrenderMonkey!  I think my Reputation was still 0, but it reminds me of the quote by Raymond Donovan, though: "Which office do I go to to get my reputation back?" :-)
