In my opinion the cost for a pack should just rise to 10€ so the people will think twice if they will get one or not.
I've heard that the number of smoking people constantly decreases in germany and i hope that one day it will be smoke-free, at least in public..

there is just nothing positive at smoking
i just can laugh about you and all the others when they "need" to get a cigarette, go outside, come back and are still pissed because it was so cold outside or whatever
you practically burn your money for something that lasts half an hour?
i don't care if you smoke 2packs a day but just don't get me involved.
if you are out come back in the night and you realise that everything stinks it's just disgusting... maybe not for one who smokes himself but as a non-smoker
when i first tried a cigarette with 8 i decided that i will never get used to this.
seriously...

i agree with kobra, and i dont understand why governments dont put 50% tax on smoking and alcohol,
probably cause manufacturers earn sick amounts of money on cigarettes and politicians are involved in this to...

sry i mistyped, i ment heavy alcohol like vodka, whiskey etc.. but it still dont matter, young kids will always drink, here in croatia, kids start drinking earlier and earlier, i dont know but it was some research, its definately not good, because most of those kids cant drink, they drink 2-3 jacks and get wasted...
and timmos, unlike you, ive been thru all that shit, and smoking too, but i decided to stop drinking, i maybe drink 2-3 times a year now, so you think its cool to go out and drink? the problem is most people cant have fun without being wasted...

u pay shit on the taxes in holland i know these sigarets cost nothing, but the government needs money so they do it

Tobacco industry is buying corrupted politicians and they sell you Marlboro with 1000% extra charge, "smoking kills" label and fake care about your health.

That's how it's looking in my country. Here is a pack of my Winston XStyle.

1. Excise tax mark on cigarettes.
2. Prevention text.

The price of this pack is 1.20€ but it will cost me over 3.00€ in a half of the year.

I totally agree and I would like to quit but I can't. Allen-fucking-Carr has no effect on me.

I know man and that's the point... if you are addicted to something you have lost control (of your body)!
Your body demands something although you know by yourself that it's not really nessecary.
I mean smoking a cigarette is not a life's nessecity!
I see no sense in it because it's so temporary and the only thing that might last longer is a little cancer growing inside you!
So i wish you all good luck in fighting this shit

These patterns are saved in your nervous system. If you really want to stop smoking, show your body who the boss is of your body and then i promise you you will feel much better. I stopped smoking so i have experience.

the problem is the addiction of habits gained, the addiction of nicotine is a non-issue since it´s proved once you stop all nicotine is out of your body 5 days later. So its apyschological battle more.
