OK, thank you. I tried turning off windows firewall and still nothing. I am able to play other games (on steam) so I dont know whats up.

so reinstall the game that I dled from here and then try again?

I downloaded the bf1942 client from here http://team-simple.org/download/Battlefield_1942.zip
and installed it. It never asked for a CD key (is that normal?)
then I downloaded and installed the updated server exe (no gamespy) from here http://forum.bf1942.sk/files/bf1942-v1. … py-fix.zip
then i turned off my firewall, just in case
went onto multiplayer, and hit update (all filters clear) and nothing showed up
then I clicked the direct connect and put in the info for your server, it looked like it was loading then said "unable to connect"
Then I tried the same thing for the AK server, and it was the same
I am running windows 8

Any help trying to get this to work? I dled it from here, and installed.
Cant figure out how to make multi work.
No servers appear on list. Direct connect to this (or any other sever) results in a disconnect.

Didnt work. I even tried connecting directly to the team simple server and it didnt work

Thank you! I downloaded and installed the game, but how do I get multiplayer to work? When I click internet and update there are 0 servers in the list!

Hi everyone! I am wanting to get back into the game - but I can't find it anywhere to download! I have bought the game before (10 years ago!) so I dont feel any qualms about downloading it now (I no longer have the disks or anything), plus, it's not illegal where I live
Does anyone have an active torrent that is seeding to dl bf1942 (expansions would be nice too)? Does anyone know if its up on filesharing sites like billionuploads?
Because I am currently living overseas buying a used copy is not an option, so if I can't download it somewhere I will probably never play again
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
