Some while ago the Aberdeen points allocation was switched from 3 points for a flag to 1 point the same as for a kill. This did not last. Perhaps 2 points for a flag and 1 for a kill would meet equity for players who chase flags like Mario Kart and the ones who operate as hunter-killers. Otherwise you can end up with the top player winning it for his team with 50 flag points 25 kills and 50 deaths. Which only proves he can take flags which 50% of the time are undefended. Win or lose. That's no way to win a medal.
DM25 was coached on cheating by a former Admin called FC Barcelona on Team Simple Aberdeen (that wasn't his ony AKA). After that someone sponsored hiim to be an Admin. Then he got a long holiday called a ban which he will say was a voluntary vacation. And FC Barcelona? He's never been heard of since.

I've tried the Masterpatch and all Simple servers show up now. Trying to update server list used to result in a screen freeze for me. Not now. I just left everything to luck and hoped the server problem would reslove itself. After weeks of waiting I investigated here and by hook or crook found the solution provided by other members.
Simon and Deeko's reputations were built on cheating from the start. Any player who can remember before Team Simple knows what a pair of scumbags they were and how they fucked up, wrecked, and took servers down if they got punished. They have their fans. And I suspect the Brothers have shared the tricks of their trade with them. Thus the cheats prosper.
I managed to get it working by changing the screen resolution and aspect ratio of screen in my PC's graphics settings. Changing them in game did nothing. I've rolled back as many other changes I made with compatibility as well. What's odd is I never changed any of my PC's graphics options for the problem to develop. I'm still not exactly sure how I arrived at the conclusion but for want of anything else to try as I'd been through every option. Thank you for your help and suggestions.
You began this game as a cheat and nothing has changed.
I tried setting Blackscreen.exe to run as Admin but it did nothing. I tried checking Direct Play in programs and features but it was already checked. Also tried running in compatabiity with Windows XP service pack 3. When I got my PC back from being fixed I ran BF1942 and there was no blackscreen. I then went about changing the game settings to my prefered ones, including the screen resolution. It was after these changes that the game loaded up with a black border. The black border is there at user interface screen. If I try and enter a server the whole screen blackcsreens and CTRL-Alt-Delete doesn't get me out of it by showing Task Manager so I can quit the game .exe. I have to force power down my PC which isn't good for it.
Bios fault with software that was fixed with another drive and Windows 10 instal. Windows 7 on my old drive. I did a fresh game instal after the back screen border and blackscreening when entering server. The game was working to begin with, until I started messing with the game settings and screen resolution. Tried putting every setting back and still the same black border and blackscreen.
Ah yes, @Cicero_01, Arcor Arena. Before Team Simple. Remember that's when simon and deeko first showed up? Remember what they did to the server? I know you have a bit of a selective memory so I'll just give a very brief synopsis that you can either agree with or dispute: Arcor Arena was a great server until simon and deeko ruined it with their cheating. As well as other shit like cooperating to team kill. The pair of them wrecked that server with the antics they got up to. Maybe the whole rest of the world is wrong? Why do they never play under their forum names? Oh it's probably nothing suspicoius. Nothing to see here move on. What's behind the mask? Don't want to know doesn't matter.
No one wants to play either of you because you've been cheats since the day you first showed up. Remember before Team Simple there was Arcor Arena. You two totally fu**ed that server up with your cheating and cooperating to team kill and antics. You think you are big potatos but really you are small beans without your cheats.
Hi, just recently had my PC fixed and now when I load BF1942 I get a black border around the interface, when I attempt to enter server I get blackscreen. It means I can't play because during the blackscreen the only way of exiting is to force power down my PC, which no PC likes having done to it.

The screen shot in case you haven't even looked at it shows a Wespe sitting just outside Axis base, with a full 30 round magazine, and a message on screen "Awaiting 1 more player before game starts". I'm not sure how anyone could cheat under those circumstances. The screen shot does not show the position my Wespe was in during the actual game, from which I can clearly see the City I was accused of cheating to hit.
The player (if it was you ABAS) who accused me of pixelling was on my Axis team, not Allied. At that point I was where I had been all the game. Further along the ridge from Axis base. I am not going to take a screen shot of it because everyone reading this knows exactly where on the Aberdeen map I am talking about. Maybe you should play more Aberdeen instead of Omaha which you know so much about. But don't go equating guessing/estimating with cheating. Otherwise players in Artillery like the Wespe must not be allowed to adjust between shots on an enemy tank that may be moving instead of sitting there obligingly.
ABAS: I did state the place I put my Wespe in able to see the City. And that is as already described as further along the ridge. I'm not sure how anyone is supposed to cheat like that. Someone did park another Wespe right next door to mine further along the ridge and attempt to shell the same parts of city as me. Was that you? If it was you aren't very good with the Wespe and I'd expect a different screen shot. You talk about splash damage forcing you to abandon your tank at rear of city, then moving forward to front of city to see where my Wespe was parked and could barely see it. I can see as far as you can but my Wespe shoots further than you or me can see. And it's not my fault one of the bonus of the Wespe is splash damage
ABBAS. The screen shot you show is not the position my Wespe was in during the game where I was banned because you accused me of pixelling. Further along the ridge is where I was. The screen shot shows the Wespe in a base defense position. The city can clearly be seen from further along the ridge. I plot shots on positions I can't see in the city by using the last visible shot and adjusting either elevation or the position of the Wespe slightly to maintain zero when I find the sweet spot. It's guesswork sometimes. Other times I hold fire when a bunch of enemy has died and time my shell with their respawn. Speculative shots to the whole city area when my team calls enemy positions in the city area are what artillery is for. Laying down suppressive fire when I can see my team being killed in that area on the mini map is another reason I shell the city. Sometimes I kill a "big shot" and get lucky. That's what they don't like. Then I get accused of not being a good tanker. Well I am a Wespe man but if any of you think I can't drive a tank it's something I do occasionally just to prove a point.
ABBAS. I can't see my shells land from that position. I can only adjust the elevation of my shot blind from the position my last visible shell lands. It's called guessing. There is no cheating. There is only artillery laying down suppressive fire on city area when I know it's under attack.
The Report Abuse and Ban Appeals may as well be merged into a single topic seeing as there is no difference between the Admins and players in terms of complaints. How about "Proven cheating until found innocent".
Admin e.S has banned me based on an unproven accusation of cheating made by a player who is a known and proven (on these forums) cheat. I am being held to a different standard than most players accused of cheating.
That's precisely my point. I have been banned based on a single accusation from a known and proven (on this forum there are plenty of screenshots and videos of Deeko) cheat, by an Admin who has no proof of the accusation.
Have you ever banned anyone because they were accused of cheating Cicero? I have never seen it if you did. I have seen you demand proof before you act. Right now I am banned because I was accused of cheating by Deeko. No warnings. No Admin speccing my game to see if there is anything going on. First accusation immediate ban. How about that? Do you think I am a cheat? How often have you ever seen me get called a cheat, compared to other players who suffer no consequences at all? I was then kicked because it was requested. When I reentered the server and said "if you banned everyone accused of cheating then DM25 would not be made an Admin". I was then banned by either e.S or DM25 I don't know which. This is an abuse of Admin power. I broke no rules and had not even made a single comment the whole round of any kind. I have seen players like DM25 accused of cheating nearly every day. I have seen proven cheats like deeko tolerated on the server by Admins. So why exactly am I banned? This is malicious and it's by more than one player. I get told time and time again that a player cannot be kicked or banned who is accused of cheating because there is no evidence. So why are the standards different for me?
He often doesn't use his real Admin name like you Deeko. We all know why you can't use yours.

There are lots of really good tankers. He gets called a cheat nearly every game by veterans and newbs and nothing happens. I get accused of cheating (by a known and proven cheat "Deeko") without any proof and I am banned. I'm sure you've seem someone accused of cheating on the game and they are not immediately banned. If that was the case DM25 would be banned every game. Along with how many others on the game? Generally speaking cheats prosper because the point of their cheating is to get high scores, not low ones. So among these "really good " players must reside the cheats. They also prosper because like Deeko when ever he does get banned he doesn't serve a ban. He's straight back and there is nothing Admins can do to stop it. Wonder how that happens eh.

Admin e.S. You banned me for an accusation of cheating. (but we know the real reason don't we e.S), with no evidence but the claims of Deeko, who you said doesn't play when you are on the server.
Yes Deeko, the pattern is you always enter the server under an alias. It was you that parked your Wespe next to mine and hit the same target. Then you claimed I was pixelling in open chat. That's when e.S said "as always". That's when I was kicked. So, you Deeko, are a proven cheat time and again. There is plenty of evidence on this very forum. Screenshots and videos. As for e.S, if he said "as always" that suggest he thinks I am a cheat without you setting me up for him. In which case if true he wouldn't need you to set me up. He'd do it anyway. I have been banned by e.S illegitimately. No one has ever proven I am a cheat in any way. The ban is illegitimate. There is only an accusation of cheating made by you, Deeko, that he acted upon. Not only that, I have seen too many players to mention make accusations of cheating and nothing happens. So this is a malicious ban with no evidence because e.S doesn't like me.
