To the people who are not familiar with battlelog.co/Revive Network:
They succeeded in bringing hundreds of players back to Battlefield 2 before and now they did the same with Battlefield 2142. What they do is they create their own launcher for the game (as of now they have BF2 and BF2142 in one launcher), which actually includes the whole game with expansions in one simple download. That's what their strongest point is, the ease with which you can get the game and start playing it. And believe me, the players are not all noobs or whatever. Many of the BF2 players also went on to playing BF2142 and I'm sure that excisting playerbase will come to BF1942 when Revive Network will start working on a launcher for it. This means they already have Battlefield skills. The majority of players who started playing BF2 again are still playing it now, so it's not just a temporary solution. Also, their Discord server is booming and their community is great.

In my opinion the Battlefield 1942 community could greatly improve if Revive will work on it. I've played on several different BF1942 servers again lately and I'm kind of horrified by the brutality of some players and the flame wars going on in several ingame chats. Now if the remaining Battlefield 1942 communities would let go of their own ideals and all work together with Revive, I believe (and with me several others) that we could make Battlefield 1942 great again.

Hello all! Here's a full description of the clan:

The Forty-Two clan is a relatively new clan, which was founded on September 24th 2016. The idea came forth from the 1942mods (Battlefield 1942) community and was primarily meant to become a Battlefield 1 clan, especially for people who played and/or still play other (classic) Battlefield games. In addition to Battlefield 1, our games list also encompasses Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Vietnam, Battlefield 2142 and Battlefield 2. Please join our Discord (link in the first post) to come and play together with us and have a nice chat! See you all on the Battlefield!

Staff list (as of September 27th 2016):
MarkNL - Commander (Leader)
Reegad - Commander (Leader)
Texafornian - Sergeant (Admin)

Whoa. Just whoa.

I've said to myself I would never ever return to these forums again, but I just HAVE to reply to this stuff (BB)DinkW is saying here.

The remaining Battlefield 1942 communities should help eachother, but there are still a lot of rotten apples out there. Take the reactions in this topic as an example. If we don't want more people to run away from BF1942, this is NOT the way to act.

On is82.com we allow a lot of other communities to advertise their events or news. We HELP eachother. Just because we want to have FUN with eachother. But this way that fun just starts to get spoiled. Thanks.

Just join the event or don't. Refrain from giving us such remarks. It's about Christmas for goodness' sake. Be nice.

Heya guys.

Yep, i'm back for a brief moment to make the BF1942 world know about a new Battlefield 1942 community website, where players can find clans, mods, servers and more!

The new community site is http://www.bf1942communities.com/news.php

It's for the most part managed by GoodDayToDie!! and Reegad, who have already done a lot for the Battlefield 1942 community.

So come say hi some time and get to know other BF1942 players and more in the forums!

Please don't say that either. I blocked him on everything he could contact me on. He made me look silly, he followed me everywhere and I was and still am done with it.
Btw: that vid's kinda old. Things are different now as you see.

Anyways, never mind the error thing. One of my mates warned me about playing on a no-cd-key server. He's right, I'm gonna go back to the good old legal servers.

By the way, I just checked it: I don't have .090 files, but I have files like e.g. "Bocage_000.rfa" or "Bocage_003.rfa" besides of the normal Bocage.rfa. Removing them results in instant game crash upon joining a server.
Seems like there are no cheats after all.

Then, you are using cheats. wink Delete those files *_090.rfa files and you are fine.

Damn, I never knew that. I never used any cheats/hacks. I don't even know how to use them.

Moonlight wrote:

They have those, I saw wengerz hassan zia use that one on their server from sniper to engineer [...] I saw hassan being in a glitch in the middle of a game of wake once..

What? I never knew those files were cheats, I don't even know how they got there. Nor have I ever seen Hassan using them.
I've always been a fair player, no cheats/hacks. I hate cheaters/hackers. So please don't ruin my reputation by saying that I use cheats.

Moonlight wrote:

the admins on their server may do anything they want

Not true. We have rules. I detest power-hungry/abusing admins.
We are NOT a hacker/cheater clan!

That may be it! I do have such files. I'll remove them later on and I'll try to join the server again too.

Do any of the admins or the server owner here have any tips on how to make a server and forum website more active? Would be much appreciated. wink

Aww.. One thing's for sure: I'm not gonna reinstall BF1942. Means I gotta reinstall all the mods and custom maps I have (and I got LOTS of them).
I can join all other servers. It seems I only get the error on SiMPLE.. sad
Thanks for the replies anyways. smile

which maps? if u have them in yellow folder it can also cause data differs from server

Never mind. I moved those maps, but still get the error. I think it's not the custom maps though, since I have them for a looong time and I always could join the server. But now I just can't join. So strange.

I also have this "Data differs from server" problem when I want to join the SiMPLE server. But I do have v1.61...

Good to see bfmods.com, Interstate 82 and 1942mods.com in the list!
We're trying to revive 1942mods to what it was nearly half a year ago. Come visit us anytime wink We need more community members.
By the way: you can soon add the -=WenGerZ=- clan to the clan list. We're a small clan, but we're gonna get our own website. tongue
