I can confirm Hammer is neurotic to the bone. He once banned me on Oz Wake where he obviously is admin on. I remember him getting super angry as I was leaving him no chance to do anything on the map. It is fairly easy to keep the upper hand on small maps like Wake as a pilot when there are just a handful players online. He accused me for cheating and banned me thereafter.

I understand it feels unfair to get owned by air (he was essentially grounding) but there are other ways to express a feeling of unfairness than simply perm ban.
I would put Nameless or Abas on the exact same level who both are not ideal to get the job done due to bad personality factors and a false understanding of neutrality in making decisions. However, maybe that is exactly part of the diversity and tolerance in mentalities program by tuia. The server would not be as much fun without those controversies, right?

I assume tuia picked them a long time ago because of their reasonable scores, which are mostly achieved by exploiting game mechanisms and abusing admin rights. Don’t outscore them or you will become their target.

Yes I have been using uxpers and wwe alternating. What do you mean by 'before'? And what 'have I done' anyway? Your statements are so vague.

You said that you have to clarify 'something'. What was the result of that? And why do you ban someone because some 'people' are only assuming he is cheating? Who are those people anyway and why is there no topic about me then in the report abuse section? Now the matter is really going to get ridiculous.

Oh well, let's recap. I have been banned for more than 6 weeks for some 'raping' and 'evading' stuff and when you eventually revoked it and I played for the first time you accuse and ban me for 'cheating'. Now you guys went ultimately crazy and paranoid. What happened to Simple? What compelled you to ever make an assumption that I am cheating? Apparently some of you are desperately looking for a false reason to ban me.

There are some interesting opinions about this topic that may reflect the actual atmosphere.

Ordinary bread and butter admins should not be allowed to use admin rights while using nicks.

Some admins use their power if there are violations against themselves in first place. Just in second place they take care of disruptive players and overall temper on the server. It should be vice versa.

The problem with public trials in forums is that for the accused there is little chance to get an objective treatment.
Admins are sympathizing with admins and delightfully overlook actual facts.

All in all the majority of us want a fair environment where they can have fun.
Admins should take care of abusive and disruptive players objectively whilst not getting personal.
We all learned to deal with rapers and tkers when there is no active admin online. It is ok, but when admins are on the server it is more fun for most of the players.

I was allied if I remember correctly so "lurking in allied base" wasn't against the rules at least.
Besides that I wasn't lurking for planes to take off except that one time I followed you for a challenge.
Although I really tried to keep it fair and even granted you advantage by putting me in front of you I am sorry that you felt harassed.
You may have felt haunted during the round but that is rather normal because Kharkov is a small map and pilots hit each other more often.
Apparently I didn't notice your warnings but I didn't fly over your base to track you down. Kharkov is tiny and
you have to fly over enemy base occasionally due to its size. I mean I didn't fly in circles just to take anyone
out that is taking off.
And I think you overreact a bit with the permban. I am around for quite a long time and many players know me for following the rules and playing fair.
The evading case you mention was rather a trouble shooting thing as I got disconnected from server and further connections failed.
As for that time I wasn't aware it was due to your ban and I just wanted to come back to check things and ask for the reason.
I would really like to know Tuia's opinion on this.
This server would really benefit if some hotheaded admins calmed down a little and cleaned up the server from tkers and rapers.
Rather than pursuing honest players for personal reasons.
Well and if you should change your mind for whatever reason I'd appreciate it if you unban me, please.

Well I turned av off, same thing, direct play activated.

Ping measures the time it takes (in milliseconds) for data to be transferred from your computer to a server and back again.
A low ping is crucial to shooters to keep the gaming client in proper synchronisation with the server.
There are several things that can affect the latency (ping):
o interfering apps (downloading tools, voice/video call services)
o bad wireless signal due to a long distance to the router
o other persons that are video streaming or downloading stuff while you are playing
... and many more

It's working well on my WinXP machine by just modifying the .con file. Is this just an issue on Win7?
