I guess my issue was I installed the game improperly. I did a fresh install of Win10 and just copy-pasted the "EA Games/Battlefield 1942" folder from my old PC. I guess that wasn't enough to properly configure things.
I just reinstalled the game from the disks and it works... Does the installation create a folder in some other directory that is necessary for it to be properly configured? I copy-pasted the BF Vietnam folder too and it gives an "Invalid Keycode" error when attempting to join servers.
Hello, I tried to join the SIMPLE | BF1942 server around 5:17PM UTC today and it says I was banned.
My username was "No." I use the retail version of the game with an .exe I found on this forum. I haven't played for a while, but remember being able to join the SIMPLE FR server without problems last year.
