I would like to participate, either as spectator or contestant. Need a solid date/time though so I'll wait.

Yeah, modding is a lot of work, especially when they can take your server down due to a crash (like putting defguns on a aircraft carrier but using number keys to switch between them) But I'm curious if you can put a control point on an indestructible vehicle (where the opponent can capture it and kill the driver), like some kind of superweapon (a flying battleship? lol)

Never mind the modding maps, need to wait a bit before asking questions haha.

Tried it on Fedora got the same problem as you so switched to Debian and it all works fine

HTH smile

Archlinux.... lol, not the actual problem but still, not great for a stable server when within 3 days theres a major update that requires a reboot! big_smile

Hey everyome, thanks for your advice. It turns out I didn't understand the remote console users, thought those were for in game admins to get control of the server from the game console, turns out it was for actually communicating with the server's remote console port. Works now, but have another problem. Been trying to edit maps, but changing anything in a map seems to crash the server (meaning things like spawn point location.) Should the map name stay the same instead of creating like "wake_modified.rfa"?

Hello everyone, I'm trying to run the bfsmd on linux to host a server, it starts but with a long line of "Internal Error!"'s, and the manager itself can start the game and set up the map list, but it doesn't send commands to the server and can't recieve them either. Wondering if there's somthing wrong with libraries or just the linux kernel version. I've installed the ncurses5 compatibility library, now working on a chroot, but that still crashes. I noticed bfsmd doesn't throw errors if I don't mount /proc into the chroot. I've tried manually connecting to the server's remote console but it just throws garbage and closes the connection if I try to input anything. Thinking the final solution is to use some old linux distribution on a vm or another computer... otherwise, I can run the server fine with +serverMonitor 1
Thanks for any help!
