Uninstall all Bf1942 on your PC and install this version, (Run the Installer as Administrator > right click on Setup.exe > Run as Admin)

Install Bf1942 not in "C:\Program Files (x86)". Make a new Folder "C:\Games\Battlefield 1942"

Then install the newest patch

Mark following programs to run as Administrator and Compatibility Mode Windows XPSP3.

Right mouse on those *.exe's > Properties > Compatibility

> Battlefield 1942.exe (Run as Admin & Compatibility Mode XPSP3)

> Blackscreen.exe (Run as Admin & Compatibility Mode Windows 7)

> PunkbusterA.exe (Same, ... if you play on servers with Punkbuster, but i guess you don't need it.)

...

Then do this if you use Windows 8 to 10

...

Then run the game.

Have Fun!

...

I've already tried this before.

Are you using Window 10? if you are ensure you have Direct Play enabled.

More details of your OS would be helpful.

DirectPlay has been enabled, I run Win 10 64 bit home edition, O/S build: 17763.615.

I have no trouble connecting to other BF1942 servers using IP address of the server to connect, however, the server list does not show.

Once again, I am also unable to connect to master.1942.sk, that may be the problem. Is it possible that my IP address is blocked from connecting to that site? Have I been banned from using the master server? I know that I was fooling around a bit on an aX server once, and got kicked/banned for teamkilling like six players, is that the reason why I am banned from the master server?

When I try to access the aX website, it also doesn't show me an option to create an account.

Unable to search for servers in battlefield 1942. Every time that i click 'update' the client does a long freeze, and after a while, does not return any servers in the list.

My BF1942 version was downloaded from BlueDrake42's website, however, I have also tried using installations from other mirrors, and even the CD version of BF1942 and gotten the same results after following every single instruction in the aX post. I tried using the -executable file from this website, but was still unable to get a working server updater working. I have retried reinstalling battlefield 1942 multiple times using different installations and failed to get any conclusive result.

It should be noted that at one point, the server updater did work in the current computer I am using, by using the aX patch, but now it no longer works.

Furthermore, when I try and connect to the aX server, by using IP address from GameTracker, it doesn't let me connect, is it possible that I have been banned from the master server?

Once again, I have tried using the 1.61 executable file, with no improvement of the server updating situation at all.

Hello Arkos.

I uninstalled Bf1942 and reinstalled using the executable files inside of the zip files you gave me. Then, I tried to launch them to scan for multiplayer servers, they didn't work.

I Downloaded the v 1.61 gamespy patch from team-simple website. The executable file managed to patch the battlefield1942.exe file in my game folder, but I still couldn't scan for multiplayer servers in game.

I have followed every different solution listed in the gamespy master server thread, all to the same avail, the game freezes when scanning for multiplayer servers and unfreezes thirty seconds later with no result.

Is an internet setting interfering with my game's ability to scan for multiplayer?

I, at one point in the past, managed to download battlefield from battlefield1942f2p.com, which came with a multiplayer server already patched into the installation. I could scan for multiplayer servers from there. But recently, i had to reinstall windows, and am now unable to find any download with the multplayer server patch.

Any advice would help me at this point

Hope I'm being clear enough, thanks

I downloaded Battlefield 1942 from Bluedrake42's Website. (Bookmarked the link to the download server)

During my attempt to install the multiplayer patch from bf1942.sk, I got the error message "Setup Cannot Continue! No Battlefield 1942!" after selecting the DIRectory where my game was installed at (C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 1942/)

I also cannot install the RtR and SW expansion packs found on the Battlefield1942f2p website
Does anybody know what registry edits I need to make in order to be able to install the mod into my game DIR? Thanks

Any advice would help. Also I have checked under "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\GAMEDIR\" to make sure that the registry entry of the Game folder matches the actual location folder, both are an exact match.

Please help.
