I made the mistake of watching the English dubbed version and thought it was terrible.
Then made the switch to native Korean with English subs and the difference was night and day.
Dubbed in English it seemed so badly acted and like watching The Power Rangers.

Enjoyed it though and followed that with the second recommendation in your post.

Enjoyed some great games on Torturebox back in the day, it was mad.

There would be mass accidental team killings I expect, would need to think very carefully before chucking that nade.

Thanks Dakota, yes I've recovered but get very tired and lethargic in the afternoons these days and end up dozing on the sofa whilst lightly hallucinating smile

Not been playing much for last 6 months as wifey has been working from home since March and having her sat alongside me at the bar kind of spoils my concentration. Guess I would disturb her too with my language and clacking on a mechanical keyboard.

As the nights draw in I will be back though, I haven't quit.

Just purchased a "Return to Castle Wolfenstein"  Steam key yesterday for 5p under a quid  so will revisit that, the mod community is bringing out a remaster next month on steam workshop.

Used to spend hours playing multiplayer back in the day, still got the disc somewhere.

#8 Re: Feedback » Some suggestion » 2020-09-18 22:23:52

Suggesting planes in Caen is simply not on, one of the best maps where good infantry tactics make a difference does not need planes.

Caen has a formula that just works, bit of everything except planes and it makes for a cracking battle.

Hey Sunshine, they should schedule another chest X-Ray about 6 weeks after.
I've been out 3 weeks but still not 100%.

They reckon it takes 6 to 8 weeks to get back to normal if not longer.

Got a scan in about 2 weeks to check things over.

WELCOME HOME.

Had a good full map session on Kursk yesterday afternoon, bit slow off the mark and found it hard to focus on screen but as Axis we turned a deficit round to our advantage and won by about 150 tickets.

What a decent bunch you lot are, this is why I love our community and the shared love for a classic game we have enjoyed playing together over many years.

I was released yesterday, doc was happy I'd been able to maintain my oxygen levels up at around 94%.
MY discharge papers confirmed it was Covid 19 so hopefully I'm now immune, (if only that was the case on the battlefield smile

Need a follow up chest x-ray in about 6 weeks to confirm everything is on the mend.

Very tired and still chesty but another couple of easy days and that will pass.

Might even put in a cheeky session later today to get my endorphins up there smile

Thanks again for your good wishes, you lot are the best smile

Thanks Unit, you're right, we have one of the best healthcare systems in the world.
Doctor informed me I'm being released tomorrow under supervision so will be some follow up diagnosis and another couple of chest x-rays after that.
They certainly don't process you in at one end and chuck you out the other end once you meet a basic set of stats concerning recovery.

55 years is no age at all but believe me, during the darkest times in the first few days being hospitalized I genuinely thought this is it at 55 but I'd had a good life.

Now 55 and looking forward to the next 30 years and probably still playing BF1942.

I've been acting very bad in this facility, sadly Ginger and Harry's acting has been woeful, worse than mine.
They were shouting "Chocks Away" as they were wheeled out of unit 721 followed by shouts of "they don't like it up 'em" and "don't tell them your name Harry"

I was brought back down to reality when Ginger tried to pee in his cardboard tube and wetting himself in the process and Harry decided he needed a shit on his commode, made of tin I might add.
All whilst I was eating my hospital food.
Drawing those privacy curtains round only goes so far in masking your real situation.

Thanks for your great wishes guys, it is appreciated.
Started the coronavirus treatment on 12 litres of oxygen per minute when I was admitted, did a spell on 8 litres and now they've taken me off the facemask and adjusted my oxygen to 4 litres. Only downside is it's delivered through that double nose pipe that's draped across your face.
I feel like the baddie from BB, just need a bell attached to my bed.

I actually feel kinda bummed , I was furloughed and I'm there rubbing my hands with glee looking to gorge on 1942 for the next few weeks whilst getting paid.
Then I end up in an isolation ward.

Or could it be a deep underground isolation bunker, all that equipment beeping and flashing, the Nazi doctors sweeping in and assessing me. Captured alongside Harry and Ginger whilst conducting covert operations we were immediately separated and I was brought here to be used as part of Operation Secret Weapons of WW11.
Zombie edition ☠

I'll see you on the battlefield, and I'll be a lot harder to kill.
And I will not stay down.

Thanks jorgen, appreciated.

Doesn't discriminate, I've no underlying health conditions then BANG! it's got me.
No doubt I'll get the official report on my release but assuming I'm released on Sunday then that's 10 days straight hospitalization.
Factor in the other 10 days when I first started showing symptoms before hospital admission on April 2nd and that's the magic three week window.

#27 Re: Off-Topic » * * * Coronavirus * * * » 2020-04-09 12:03:18

Just my luck I've contracted Coronavirus.

Had the symptoms nearly two weeks ago, self isolated then my condition took a turn for the worse and I was rushed into hospital 7 days ago.
I'm in an isolation ward, first three days in ICU.
Had the blood tests, chest x-rays, ECG.
Needles stuck here, there and everywhere, hourly diagnosis checks throughout the day and night.
Been the worst experience of my life and a real wake up call. I'm not overweight by much but I don't exercise either.
Only 55 so this has been a real wakeup call for me.
I'm going to focus on getting my BMI in order when I'm released which doctor reckons could be Easter Sunday.

FRANCE: Prepare for the war against coronavirus the same way you prepare for all wars.

By staying at home.

Most French casualties were M.I.H. Missing in hiding.

For Sale: 100,000 WW2 French rifles. Only dropped once.

Actually that's a bit harsh, the French Resistance did their bit, this is in jest you understand  smile
