Server loses population because of Philippines? Is that why I saw 80 players on a few days ago? Let me explain something: Simple server is popular and no matter what game mode or map they play, it will not lose population. The vast majority of players do not care what map they are playing.
If you seriously believe something will lose populaton like you say, then please provide your evidence.

and people ask for other maps to be set or skipped also, but you do as you want.
A server with 60, 72 or 84 players is bound to have some conflicting viewpoints.
You say whatever you want, but you were also making fun of anyone who likes philippines..

He changes only the maps he wants and even gave an excuse tonight that he does not want to break the order, but then skipped a map.
You should really be giving admin to keep the players in order, not admins who want control over the maps..There is a map rotation for a reason. No, not everyone likes certain maps, but they are all fun and all playable..

Due to the declining playerbase I was thinking of throwing up a server to be modded as a free for all deathmatch game mode. This would allow for more action even with less players.
How this would work:
*Everyone for themselves, no teams.
*Flags removed, spawn points remain
*Modified scoreboard to count teamkill as positive

I am setting up a Skype group for BF1942 players. I hope it will help us spread the word for special events for a mod, or simply vanilla 1942 since the game is dying. I steal this idea from Dreamcast Online Gaming Skype Group which has 50 members and i notice it really boost the population.

FHSW is exactly that -- FHSW.
Secondly, it is not a mod. It will be a collection of re-textured skins. Think of Merciless. Again, it would not separate the player base in anyway.. if you installed it you can still play against those who have the original skins.
There is no requirements on a server hosting aspect. You simply run a normal 1942 server and everyone can play, the players with the new skins and those with original.
The only way it would not be playable online is if a server has pure mode enabled, which there is absolutely no reason for a server to have it enabled today. In fact if you want 1.6, 1.61 and origin players to all be able to join your server you must disable pure mode otherwise 1.6 players can not join.

Every so often it seems there is a small update to Battlefield 1942 that can be applied to the game which in turn gives it a more modern feel.
Imagine playing Battlefield 1942 with up to date high quality textures, from the buildings to the soldiers and everything in between.
Please give me a PM here if you would like to help to texture some things.
P.S. Our wish is not to make a mod, rather to have our new skins and textures be the default of the game. This means you will be able to play on any BF1942 server with this pack installed. We look to also release a stand alone version of our pack.
